I mean, there are plenty of other avenues to host your fanfiction or roleplaying, I'm not sure why they need to be on official forums. There are FFXIV communities all over the place.

If you only bought and play the game, in order to roleplay on forums, then perhaps the game isn't for you anyway?

'Role playing' is typically done in game.
If you have/are looking for a community, these can be found in game or out, and you can communicate via discord, where you are free to set up any kind of thread/format you like, or share links to reddit, or whatever.
