Yes I understand how slow works. I just misjudged how effective it is on lower level trash enemies because most of their non-avoidable damage is usually in the form of their Auto attacks rather than consistently using a GCD skill, and don't generally live to the full duration of the slow to see its use be pronounced as they'll still hit once or twice, just with another second or two delay. However, it became more apparent after I read Jojoya's explanation under the full duration it's effects are very visibly seen in large packs because a single auto attack cancel on a large pack means # of successive auto attacks has been mitigated, which could translate into 6+ hits not being needed to be healed through.

Usually movement speed debuffs, WoW included, are referred to as snares. "Slow" also referred to attack speed debuffs in WoW, although this also had this exact same confusion in the playerbase. I'm not really sure if this has been relevant since Torment the Weak was removed. I think that was the only thing in the game that I ever saw say "slow or snared."

I constantly use it whenever i can, especilly when tanking big pulls, because its a huge help for the healer to keep me alive if practically everything deals 20% less fast dps, what when their HoT's will be 20% more effective, they need to use lesser mp to keep me alive n waste lesser mp to keep me alive, which means they can deal more damage n participate in erasing out quicker together the trash mobs, what in return will continously ease the job of the healer, cause each killed trash is a damage source to the tank, healer or dps lesser that can cause damage which needs to be healed - to close here this cycle.

Its just smart to use this as tank, whever you can and expect alot of tankable target and not just only for moments where you need to prevend CC effects.
Its a two way situational defense skill with higher focus to use for tanks just against huge pulls, while against busses, its more the occasional CC prevention, because most bosses after ARR are anywaya all immune to negative conditions, exceot for degenerations to cause DoTs.

Only time I hesitate using it is when there’s a WHM in the party. Sometimes I’d wait for the Holy that never comes, and others only to pop Arm’s Length at the same time as they actually start casting Holy. Otherwise, I always put it on cd for big pulls. xD
