so it's essential because it's unnecessary. Yep OP it's time for bed.
Still waiting for speech bubbles so i can see when someone is talking to me instead of finding out 10 minutes later after i decide to look at the corner of my monitor.
Personally speech bubbles annoy me, and you can't tell when people are talking to you in a crow anyway, since it'll be flooded with bubbles.
In towns you wouldn't be able to see a thing since the screen would just be riddled with them.
And you are really overestimating how talkative people are in channels that go in chat bubbles

Oh, there is none.
Most games have culling so the more people there are, the closer the bubbles have to be to render, further features give priority to people in your party/on your friends list/in your guild, and some even highlight your name if someone calls for you.
Also, if you just don't like them, the option is usually there for you to disable them
I personally find the audio visualizer in the game cheap looking. But I don't ask for its removal. Instead I just don't turn it on and let the feature help those who find it useful. /shrug
Also, they're already in the game, just npc exclusive.

Unless I'm more blind than I thought, no this option doesn't exist. I've looked all over. Not trying to be rude at you in case this is legit, but this is literally a thing in your settings menu.
You know how your party members have a different color? Same deal but you can set specific colors for FC and friends.
Dig around in your settings..same place you can set NPC colors, the PVP teams etc.
My friends' names are orange but FC members were no different from anyone else's names before I hid all names entirely.
I want FC members to be an entirely separate option. Right now I have it set to show friend names only, but I want to see friends and FC members in different colors and no other PC names.

You just described Phantasy Star Online and Phantasy Star Universe, while in the main lobbies. So I don't know if you played those during their hayday, but for those that haven't - you have not truly been annoyed until all you see is CHAT BUBBLES on the entire screen. Like, you can't see nothing else, no characters, no anything, just.big.white.bubbles.of.text.

I think you underestimate the crowded areas of popular servers like Balmung. There'd be so many pop ups that it would be annoying as hell. Also, I'm not asking for the removal of anything. I'm sharing my thoughts on a feature that isn't in the game and hopefully never is.And you are really overestimating how talkative people are in channels that go in chat bubbles

And I think you underestimate SE's ability to make a UI feature useable. My dude, I'm on balmung, and if chat bubbles work the way I described it, you wouldn't be able to see bubbles outside of your immediate area in the quicksand (say, just the people around your table). Sorry, I misspoke, you wouldn't be able to see any of it because you'd have it turned off. I, on the other hand would be able to clearly see what the people I'm talking to are saying without having to fight the vicious chatscroll. Hell, people mainly RP in /em anyway so it still wouldn't touch your eyeballs.I think you underestimate the crowded areas of popular servers like Balmung. And I see little difference in the desire to remove an optional accessability feature vs the desire to block an optional accessability feature's implementation. Either way someone finds the game difficult to use/experience.
And also to go on topic, OP you've my total support. I've made a habit of adding all my fc members to my friends list so that I'd see them better, but I'd really prefer it to be native in the FC's features.
