Is there a way to disable click targeting?

I only really use my mouse to move the camera, and if my mouse is hovering over a piece of my UI or a party member/enemy while I'm adjusting the camera it'll get selected. It's really annoying and disorienting, and players/enemies/UI take up a lot of screen real estate, so it's happening enough to be a legit quality of life issue.

It would be nice if at least one of the mouse buttons, left or right click, would ignore/click through everything on the screen.

I know this is an old thread, but I have to reply because it's one of the top listings on google and the others are locked/archived.

If you press ESC, go Keybind, then Targeting tab, you will see that you can set hotkeys for "Set Targeting Mode For....". Here you can set up hotkeys to switch between targeting modes. For PC, I typically only have two; for example, I have "All" mode to return my targeting to normal, and "Enemies" mode to click-target only enemies. However you can customize exactly what you want to filter, by going to Character Config -> Control Settings -> Filters. You have to enable Filter Customization.

edit: oh, just realized this only works for targeting with a controller :\
the only other way for PC clicking is if you hold down X... but I wish there was a way to toggle it

Problem with ffxiv is that it also counts right mouse button clicks as a left mouse UI click which is wrong and goes against standard PC controls in about everything
