I think historically, it was good for dramatic effect (i.e. Holmgang vs. Akh Morn), but that idea of a end-tier raid boss smashing you down to 1 HP could easily be reproduced with fight-specific mechanics.
Impossible no offense just saying they been here since ARR that would be like flipping tank as a whole upside down SE wouldn’t bother and it would be too much work to adjust bosses accordingly not saying your solution wouldn’t be cool it would feel like everything is on the edge but SE killed that concept back in SB and finished it off in ShB though ShB 5.0 almost felt like it lol
