Strange question about condition in crafting

I had some insanely bad luck while crafting in Coerthas/The Pillars (close to the summoning bell). Rather consistent, so I got this strange idea (since I've never had such bad luck before) of going back to Ul'dah (Sapphire Avenue Exchange, where I normally craft, close to the summoning bell at 14/11), and lo and behold, my bad luck was gone, I got good and excellent just as I have always used to. So, I'm starting to wonder, does the place you craft at have any influence on condition?

No. There is nothing to influence the condition of your crafts - no place, no minion, no glamour, no weather... Its just RNG that you cant influence.

As a sidenote: You shouldnt really depend that much on conditions and instead try to figure out a rotation that lets you HQ-stuff without needing a good or excellent condition. I dont know what you're doing right now, but you should be able to craft without needing "goods" or "excellents".

My rotation is basically to get the progress bar as high as possible, without finishing the process, do Inner Quiet, Innovation, and Observe. Then hit Precise Touch whenever the condition is good or excellent, redo Innovation and finish with Byregot's Blessing. Gives me a HQ item (as long as we don't talk those items that have 40 or 35 in durability) 98% of the time. Might be faster ways of doing it, but I'm self thought and haven't really bothered checking many sites, since most are outdated (5 or 5.1) or overly complicated. I'm still leveling my crafting and gathering skills, but have gotten mining and botany past 70 and the crafting skills are in the top 50's and early 60's. I haven't played for more than a month and didn't seriously start on crafting/gathering before 2 weeks ago, so I don't think the progress is that bad.

Just to offer some - hopefully not unwanted or redundant - advice (I cant tell wether or not you're doing this already from what you've wrote here, so I'll just mention the things that come to mind right now):
    1) Filling the progress bar early is not a bad idea - are you using Muscle Memory at the start? All of your crafters should have it already - you might not want to use it for endgame crafting later on, depending on the rotation you come up with, but it might serve you well during leveling! Make sure to make use of that extra buff it gives you aswell!
    2) Your goal is to reach 11 Inner Quiet stacks before doing your "Byregot Finish". That is most important! So try to use as many Touches as you can and dont just wait for Precise Touch to be available. On that note: At your level Observe is not worth your CP (unless you need/want to avoid hitting Byregot on a poor condition). At level 67 and 68 you'll get skills that require that you use Observe beforehand and then it might be worth your CP, depending on your rotation.
    3) Are you finishing with Great Strides+ Innovation + Byregot's Blessing? Using Great Strides increases the effiency of your next "Touch"-skill by 100% - Byregot counts as a "Touch"-skill. You definitly want to hit Byregot with 11 IQ-stacks and Great Strides up - if the condition of your craft is good or even excellent after hitting Great Strides, ignore Innovation and just hit Byregot, thats more effective.

So, bottomline: Hit those 11 stacks by whatever means, drop Observe and try to come up with a rotation that relys as little as possible on RNG - endgame should be to have a rotation (maybe even as a macro) that will give you a HQ-item from NQ-mats 99,9% of the time.

Happy crafting! I wont wish you good luck, because a crafter shouldnt need luck

You need to be facing northwest on Watersday for optimal results.

My luck always increases after a really bad luck chain if I stood up and take a few steps and then start crafting again, that is how lady luck works for me and if I don't do that my bad luck will continue.
