/mount, /dismount Can I have it?

/mount and /dismount

Can I pretty please with a cherry on top have it? (I really really dislike having to use the mouse for that ONE thing) and to spice it up:

/mount chocobo
/mount goobbue
/dismount
/mount (by itself will make you mount at random; depending if you have more than one mount!)


And yes I know I can push the engage key to dismount, but there is no text command to make me get on my bird and ride into the sunset. Don't you want us to run into the sunset, Square-Enix? ; ;

in keyboard configuration you can bind a key to mount choco or gobbue.

I bound it to a key and configured it to a button on my gamepad, but I would still like to be able to have a macro-able command for it.

How about we just get a mount skill and add it to the action bar ? like um every other MMO out there.

In 2.0 we will be able to add food, potions and macros to the action bar so I'm guessing adding a mount button wouldn't be out of the realms of possibility.

I access my fast menu with triangle and click on the icon. I'd have to shoot myself if I had to type it.

Similar to Majidah, on gamepad, hit the micro menu button, keep it on chocobo, and it stays for the rest of the play session (i use main menu for syn, trade, and invites)

Yea this is what I do, all too many times I quickly do it and the cursor has moved and end up opening the menu instead.

I suppose a quick key would make sense ... if only I could find one that isn't being used.
