New player looking for a Free Company

If this is not the right place to post this I apologize. I am a new player on Exodus that has attained level 27 as an archer. I told myself I would try the game, get a mount then decide if it was for me. I am having way more fun than I thought. I AM old, 48. I have been an MMoer since the Ultima Online days. I am looking for a good crew either around my starting point or a committed crew around my age. I am fine with being the old guy in an up and coming fun crew or another one of the old guys in an old guy crew. Hope that makes sense.

So it looks like this is a game to come in with friends rather than meet them. That is ok, I am not bitter at all. I tried here and discord and discord was a bit elitist, I understand that. I will have to grapple with random recruiting and if I want a game like that. The game has been awesome so far, but I think I see why I resisted so long. I waited too long, now it is a conveyor belt rather than a game. The search continues.

Sadly I play on a different server to you (Balmung) otherwise I would happily invite you to my FC. Don't be discouraged though! A good place to start looking for FCs to join is to have a look in the forum for your server (in your case, the server forum for Exodus can be found here), as there are bound to be FCs recruiting for new members (unfortunately new/low level players cannot post in those forums only view them, but you can still take down the details of a FC that interests you and see about making contact with their members through the game). Either way, don't fret! You'll find a home for you, just keep the faith!

Its similar to "random recruitment", but you could always put up a partyfinder group. Partyfinder is an in-game tool that lets you form an open group that other people can join. You give a description of what group you want, and usually people find you. Its often used to pre-form groups to run specific content(extreme difficulty primals, savage difficulty raids, farm parties, etc). But you can also just put up a PF listing that says you want to chat while crafting, make some friends, find a good linkshell(private chat channels) or two, or join an FC. Im not on Exodus, so i cant point you to good groups there. But a PF listing has the potential to lead some good groups to you. Best of luck!
