So you're ok with Active Help popping up a Window in the midst of an encounter? I've seen that green question mark pop up on my screen during FATEs and dungeon instances, as well as in the field. Just ... no.

Also, some of us run alts and we have already seen those Windows.

I'm aware of this and my solution is GIVE US OUR FREAKIN' AOES WHEN THEY'RE FINALLY ABLE TO BE APPLICABLE SE!! DX I hate getting into a low level dungeon on one of those classes and only being able to plink away on one mob at a time :T

So you tell me it's overly much asked for
to do the tutorial before entering Sastasha, yepp?

Well, I might react all nice and sugary if new players would at least listen to advices in the dungeon, BUT...

After having several Sastasha-runs endured there days... with green-eared tanks who obviously don't care for chat (or even have turned it off) while definitely having NOT done the novice-hall... I can't be friendly like that.

If a tank makes my healing-job a pain in the neck --- just because they have no idea about the basics and clearly won't respond to the desperate explaining-tries me and my DPS-buddies give --- than I won't carry such person each and every time.

    My current philosophy:
Be as cocky as you new tank want to be and completely ignore a feature I would have loved to have in summer 2015 (novice-hall didn't exist back then), but if you don't match the lowest standard plus ignore all communication-tries, then it's the right of the group to KICK your stupid butt OUT of the instance.

The Hall of the Novice could do with some updates, but I see no reason of benefit to making it mandatory. It will just be done and forgotten by new players while becoming an annoying chore for other players on new characters. New players will need more than a 1 time session to learn how to play properly, especially if that learning session happens before they have any dungeon experience that could be used to put the lessons in context. Something more beneficial might be a new roulette for mentors (with no rewards at all) that pairs them with new players running the low level dungeons. Perhaps the Novice Hall sessions could also be expanded to let a mentor player watch over them and provide live help to a novice working through the training.

Mandatory Hall novice wont change much, as its not just new players that are the problem. Its veteran players who are being lazy and making no effort themselves. Most of the crap players I have come across in the last couple of months are people with multiple level 80's, some are omni across the board. It really boggles the mind when you see someone in full savage with 5 level 80's playing like they dont have a bloody clue what their doing.

Note: Taking advice from a players alt, is like taking advice from a voice in a dark room. Criticism is a two way street remember that!!

Just make rewards based on participation. You lazy your way through a dungeon? Less rewards

How do you even do that correctly in a game where sometimes your worst ennemies are not the mobs, but the other players themselves ?

Did you have a bad participation because you did die when :

    - everyone did flee you when you did get this stack marker ?
    - the whm was busy glaring instead of healing you before this unavoidable raid wide aoe ?
    - the tank did turn the boss towards the group right before a cleave ?
    - somebody was following you with his aoe marker ?
    - etc, etc, etc.

Then less rewards for you, because you should be ashamed and punished doing... well, nothing wrong at all XD

If something like that is Mandatory, people won't do it at later levels. The first one is simply for the gear that is the best most sprouts have at that time.
