Macro for cross hotbar

Hi guys, I started officially FFXIV a few months ago and I finally got into levelling other jobs. I was wondering if by any case, is there a macro I can use that can change my shared Left and Right crossbar when changing my job. I already saw the HUD layout macros around which I will try later on but I couldn't find something like this around.

I'm not sure exactly what you want to do. Do you mean you want to make these hotbars


Customized to each job? In that case I would think the first thing to do would be to unshare the bars (on the Sharing tab), or change them to a bar number that is not shared.

If you're trying to do something else, cross hotbar manipulation works almost exactly like regular hotbar manipulation. The commands just include a c at the beginning: /chotbar instead of just /hotbar. My other recent post on hotbar manipulation might be a good place to start. You can also type

/? chotbar

in game to read the help text for the /chotbar or /crosshotbar command.

You can set commands to hotbar/xbar by macro, ex:
/crosshotbar set "Ruin II" 1 LAR

That macro puts Ruin II on xbar #1, L2 paddle, A buttons, right button (circle on PS controller)

Exactly, I wanted to do the first thing u mentioned. I wanted to customize it for each job, but I have been expermenting with the settings and haven't been able to get the results I want.
