[Suggestion/Request] Mount customisation

While we can customise chocobos would it be possible to add in a feature that allows us to change the colours of certain other mounts? Maybe even change the music?

Could organise it by adding tabs on the mount selection. (e.g) clicking on the magitek armour displays different colour variations.

I kinda wanna change the saddles on the Amaro, and paint the Regalia.

This means increasing the size of server-side data shared to (seen by) other players, so no.
(there may be a "budget" for future additions and they're very cautious how to use it, but it looks like they just can't add anything at all)
There could be a clever trick that would consist in re-using the data allowed to the companion for any mount, but only one mount at a time (so if you chose to customise the Amaro, you can't customise the companion chocobo). It still means adding data to tell which mount is customised, so ...
But it also means designing, modeling and texturing the new assets instead of creating all new mount, so maybe, but it would be slow.
What they would probably do is creating new mounts, like a 2nd Amaro with a different saddle, if there is demand (like we have a bunch of chocobos, 4 magitek armors, an army of poneys, etc.)

If I remember rightly this was a plan they had very early on in ARR's development but seemed to have quietly abandoned at some point prior to ARR's launch, possibly due to the sheer complexity of it and so only the company chocobo ended up having customization available. Given the large amount of different mounts available even at ARR's launch, this is not surprising, as it would have just been far too time-and-resource consuming to get to work, so the plans were dropped.

Which is unfortunate, as I would have liked to have been able to give my magitek armour a new paint scheme at least.

As nice as that would be, that's probably not one they can do easily if at all. At best we can probably hope for reskins someday unfortunately.

Speaking of coloring mounts... Does anyone know if it’s possible to get those new dye colors from Ishgardian Reconstruction on your chocobo?
