FFXV Event: Can we get this again?

FFXI is still missing. So, I doubt it thus far.

It's probably a bit of a crapshoot whether we get it again or not. Since Squeenix seems to be fully done with XV, there's nothing coming down the pipe to promote that would warrant bringing the event back. But unlike the Garo stuff, Squeenix owns XV, so they might bring the stuff back later, even if it's just tossing it into mogstation to make a few more bucks off people who missed it the first time around.

it hasn't been all that long since the event so I doubt we get it again anytime soon, maybe in a couple of years.

I like to think it would at least make it to Mog but like Gula mention they didn’t even do this for FFXI. And I honestly thought both XI and XV would be back since some of the players here came from XI and then there’s others that played XV. Possibly make a round two where they added characters from both games to get different (and old) rewards the next time they appeared but... yeah... It’s not like they couldn’t still advertise both games since everyone hasn’t played or heard of them. And not everyone buys a game on launch either. (I myself only recently started playing Nier Automata lol)

Anyway, I’m no expert on marketing or technical reason behind not bringing it back but I still would like to see it return either by event or Mog.

The FFXI gear never made it to Mog Station, but the event itself did return to the game. I'm not sure how long after the original.

And yes, I'd really like to see the FFXV event return - my only character that would wear the outfit didn't exist at the time, so it would be great to get that for him.

As others have said, I think it's more likely you'll just see the rewards (Noctis's gear, FFXV music Orchestrion rolls and the Regalia mount) go up for sale on the Mogstation. Yes I know the rewards for both FFXI events (how many people remember we actually had two completely different FFXI-themed events in FFXIV?) haven't ended up there, but the FFXIII event items did. And given SE has pretty much kind of moved on from FFXV and it's tie-ins, I don't really see there being any incentive to SE to bring the event back into FFXIV and just stick the items on the Mogstation.

Really I'm just waiting for the promised FFVII-themed event, as episode 1 of the Remake is now out and the time is as good as any, although with the pandemic causing havoc and everything, it's not surprising there has been no news about that. (Okay I just want an Aeris Aerith outfit for my WHM ).

Last I heard from Yoshi-P was he wold like to do one but doesn't want to add to the FF7R team's workload until the game is complete, which I'd wager includes further parts. So, unfortunately, I wouldn't hold my breath on this.

Also I don't recall there ever having been any sort of promise on this. I just mention this to avoid people getting their hopes up too much.
