If you want to look at what a Geomancer could do as a healer, my idea is basically them dropping terrain markers that provide a buff or debuff, and modify moves of theirs while in them. Kind of like Astro but you could move around the markers and such. It’s the easiest way to represent terrain in this kind of game. Maybe default is Earth element (wherever you stand it’ll be Earth) with a Water and a Wind terrain effect, or hypothetically even more.

Now, it’s not likely they’ll make this. But it’s an easy design with around a couple minutes of thought of a way they could do a healer that feels like a Geomancer without being the same as any others. That’s just off the top of my head, there are other designs I could make. And I would say it feels like a Geomancer too. Most jobs are flexible enough you can make them work in multiple roles.
I was mostly saying that the two of them would make better options than Geomancer, with regen being originally a time mage ability. With Geomancer getting a regen years after, so yes you are right, they have a regen as well.

So I will change my angle, and only use this game as a point of reference. They have multiple instances of time magic being used in a healing/restorative manner in this game. Between Hildabrand quest and then the Benefic tooltips. So in a FFXIV standalone viewpoint, we have the time magic aspect being use restoratively and backstory of Geomancer being caster.

But when it comes down to it, you want Geo to be a healer and I do not. So we will most likely just talk in circles. haha
