How do I blacklist an entire thread
Might be the majority yes, but have you thought who the people are that create databases and other useful websites, that organize large discord groups to make teams for less-played content or raiding, have you thought about content creators that make funny videos or guides. About people who make art about ff14 or those who become ambassadors at fanfests or other press events. Thought about when a new ultimate hits and a few dozens thousands people actually enjoy watching a group do world progression?
All those things that actually draws people to the game is made mostly by the people that play much more than the casual majority, who like this game much more than the casual and who invest much more of their free time into the game to make it more accessible and welcoming. You are basically saying they don't deserve to have a voice because they are not the majority :/
I think the majority of players are either not interested in the high end content because they accept it's not for them or get joy from watching other people complete it, they do not however complain about the difficulty of it because that is the whole point of high end content. You are not missing out on anything if you dont do it its purely there for the challenge.
They do?
The greater bulk of content in this game is nice, relaxed theme park mode, relaxed gathering/crafts, story and quests and other entertainments. Which is great. But I don't see what's wrong with the few who enjoy challenge having maybe 5% of the content aimed towards them. It's a little selfish that the other 95% isn't enough for the rest.

I guess I fall in the camp that "I'm just not interested in it at this point". I've been on and off for almost since it came out on PS4. I do all the normal tier raids and hard mode stuff. I LOVE the content and I'm good at the jobs I love to play. I'm absolutely sure if I went into the EX or SV stuff I'd be absolutely fine after a few tries. Mechanics don't bother me, being in PUGs doesn't bother me, trying new content doesn't bother me simply because I've been playing so long. It just doesn't hold any interest for me. I may try it one day, I may not. Am I mad or upset that its difficult and or more intense than normal/hard content? Nope! Couldn't care less.
I'd never begrudge anyone that uses it as a trophy (like people doing it for leaderboards and what not) "do yo thang"! That being said though I think anyone that uses it as a "slap" should be dealt with. Like someone in a DF I was in was doing. Running ahead pulling whole rooms and overwhelming the tank. One of the guys told them to chill and their response was "It's obvious you don't savage raid!" "To bad you don't know what a good healer looks like". To me that kind of smarmy attitude should be dealt with. (and it was, quickly LOL!) If there's one thing I can't stand is someone with an "I'm better than you because..." type of attitude.
But for someone to say it needs to be made easier just for them is either foolish or just not confident in their skill set. Even though I don't have any interest in it, I don't want anyone that finds the challenge amazing to get screwed out of stuff they enjoy!
Like I said. I may try it one day, I may not. I might just up one day and say "screw it! I'm in!" I'm having a giant ball playing it as I am now. Leveling characters I want to learn how to play, crafting and selling, helping out the sprouts. There's no end to the stuff I have to do and I honest;y log in EVERY DAY! Several hours a day. (it helps being a single guy with a monday thru friday job!)

I think I gotta agree with Liam Harper here. The grand majority of the game tends to be pretty casual friendly. Outside of EX and Savage, pretty much everything can be beaten by the average player without much stress. And Extreme really isn't that hard with a bit of practice.
So I feel that it's okay for Savage to be hard, and it's okay to have a few rewards locked away behind it. There's nothing wrong with having a few rewards for hardcore players. I don't begrudge the hardcore crafters the stuff they've been getting (titles, mounts, etc) even though I have no plan to do them.
Thing is that's the type of player no one wants in their savage party anyway because they have little to no patience.

I sincerely disagree with this topic. The fact that this game has very difficult content in endgame is highly motivating to me. It means not everyone will measure up, and that's a good thing. (I know several people who would fully agree on this).
I prefer it is kept difficult/as is and that all future expansions strive to stay difficult.

I never did any savage content till this day, since I do not want to put so much effort into learning the mechanics, trying for hours etc.
But you know what? I'd be horrified, if they made it any easier, because of the mentioned reasons.
This would destroy the whole meaning behind it.
