At the one hand, I don't like how unforgiving savage or ultimate content is as well, it is hard to recover sometimes even with people who cleared it multiple times. I also think the shiva fight probably should have been splitted up into 2 segments, like the raid fights in stormblood.
With Baldesion Arsenal being pushed out a bit by the new addon, the removal of a new PotD iteration this addon, the lacking attractiveness of bluemage raiding and the same formular for every dungeon since ages - I feel like midcore content got a big slap again. So this game is too easy for most content, and once you want something more difficult as casual player, you get stomped by savage and ultimate. Wish they would differentiate it more and give incentives to do ilvl sync dungeons, sync it for more rewards or whatever.
there is actually something that does help the situation but nobody wants to do, Blue mage . You get rewarded with a ton of poetics as well as arr hunt currency for doing weekly targets as all blue, synced which is a great way to learn in the game through older fights, not to mention they will be easier since Blu has some absurd spells but not absurd enough to make everything a complete joke, plus they offer an older approach to play healer were you have to plan out your heals but are not completely overpowered and dpsing isnt a press of a single button, alot of healers have said they had more fun with blu healing than current healing. Further more you get titles for clearing alot of those fights and also if you want something meatier you can do old savage for a mount that is extremely rare if you care for such stuff and more titles, not to mention even without echo those savage fights are much simpler than current ones with the exception of one... and really fun to do. If there are 2 things i recommend to new players who want to learn and improve its to go and do early ex fights through duty finder cause theyll get mentors to help and blue to experience the arr and heavensward raiding that they missed and how much preparation and co operation it needed
