A new player to this World

Hi, I’m new this beautiful world. After a lot of videos & reviews I chose Final Fantasy 14 as my MMORPG of choice to get heavily into. I can be on almost everyday and whether I'm alone or with comrades I will always grind to get stronger. I pick up things mechanically & mentally very quickly. My only other mmo was Elder Scrolls and Destiny2. I’m pretty social able when meeting new people. I’m hoping this post will catch the eye of a Company that will allow me in. I’ll try my best to be a good teammate whether its Raids, dungeons, exploring or pvp. P.S I’m willing to make a new character to go wherever the company is.

Welcome to Eorzea!

Firstly, if you're not aware you should associate your in-game character with your Forum account, as sadly that is not automatic. The reason for doing this is because your character's level in the game determines your posting ability on the forum - the higher the level the more posts you can make each day (up to a maximum 20 per day for level 50 and above). Don't worry though, it's not hard to do!

If you're not sure how to do this, in the top right corner of the screen next to the blue 'logout' button (assuming you're logged into the forum), click on 'Settings', and then on the next screen, on the list on the left under 'Edit Settings' click on 'Edit Character'. You will then be shown a list of all your game characters on your account, and select the image of the desired character you wish to select so that it's image is in colour and has a yellow star on it. You then have to select what class from the left most drop down menu on this character tab you wish to associate with that character on the forum, as that is what determines the amount of posts you can do, so it's wise to select the class with your highest level or your 'main' (it will also mention it under your character's image in every post you make). Once your happy with the selection, click 'Save Changes' at the very bottom.

It may take a bit before the forum updates your posts with your character information so don't worry if it doesn't immediately show up, you haven't done anything wrong!

As for joining a Free Company, there are bound to be many seeking new members (including new players like yourself) on your server so a good starting point is to have a look in the specific forum for your server (bare in mind that unless you have a high level you cannot make new posts in those forums, but you can still view them and take note of the FC details and make contact in the game from there). The server forums can be found here (for the Japanese servers) and here (for the North American and European servers).
