    No Level Down for next Relic please.

    I think a good part of the reason why Eureka wasn't popular in Stormblood was the constant threat of losing a lot of your progress should you be unfortunate enough to die unexpectedly. Sure you could get someone to raise you while in instance, but that doesn't always happen. it had a good run, but maybe it's time for a different approach.

    I didn't/don't mind the level down stuff but I really hope they don't do weather spawn conditions. Those are so annoying when it just happens that there wont be whatever weather the big boss requires for like hours.

    The best thing about it was the part where all the bored people mindlessly grinding things were FORCED to socialize to stay sane. This is not a plus.

    yeah just no extra leveling progression in general. I already got to cap. Leveling is boring and really only useful as a tutorial anyway. I'd much rather see progression walls be actual mechanical things that test me as a player and force me to learn and apply something.

    I think they've already mentioned there isn't going to be a level reset but we are getting something similar to the Logos actions in Eureka Pyros/Hydatos which might be tied into some kind of alternate progression system.

    To be fair, losing xp is a pretty nice way to make you think twice about what you're doing, and actually care about staying alive. That was something i did like about Eureka

    I already don't like dying, I don't need an annoying mechanic to stop me from doing it.

    Plus, all it really did was fill chat with "/shout res pls <pos>"

    I don't really see the problem with level down. It was extremely hard to die in Eureka since everyone was in a zerg train, and even if you did die, getting rez'd means that you don't lose any of the XP. I never finished my relic because Eureka was boring, but my friends that have never lost a level to my knowledge.

    Either way, I doubt they'll do it again, but leveling down was basically a slap on the wrist rather than an actual punishment anyways.

    Levelling down: Perhaps the 5th or 6th worst thing about Eureka.

    I still pray to the Twelve nightly that the next relic can be accomplished with tomestones or dungeon-running.

    Eureka was unironically some of the best content in the game, because it made the game feel like an actual mmorpg. You had to team up, you had to ask for help, you needed certain people in order to do certain things, future-proofing? You get echo and mounting, come on...


    I hope they double down on trying to replicate FF11 and add some actual mmorpg content, at the sheer ire of the casual limsa pleb afkers.

    Levelling to a cap on launch could and was done in a single day of grinding if you didn't stand afk waiting for other people to spawn stuff for you so you could get one level in 3 hours. If you farmed level appropriate mutations, you could get a level every 35 minutes providing you used your dps logos and had good dps as a party.

    I swear half the people in this game don't want to actually play it outside of the roleplay elements and that's fine. But when people like me get content that we can explore, grind, make mistakes in, group together in, make friends in, farm dope loot in, let us have it, you get your furniture and glams.
