Well I'm keeping my house so I'm logging in regardless. If there's actually something to due, then that's a net positive.

Housing timers were turned off several weeks ago.

You also have 45 days even when they are on, from the last time you entered your house.

I simply play other games on the weekends, raid during the week, and have big fish to catch in between.


Though apparently on the forums, I'm one of the few who still goes to work m-f, so I have a lot less free time than some do.

Thanks to COVID, I have more freetime to actually play FFXIV. So it seems counterintuitive the try and get back in to FFXIV only to unsub. Once the pandemic dies down, I'll end up with more work hours and can't play FFXIV for awhile.

Personally I hope they keep the dry spell going enough to get some proper recoding started for 6.0 so we have one or more of the following when it drops

Character creator updated with some of the many many requests people have (other than finishing the bunnies and big cats)
New blood in the job team that builds on jobs rather than wrecks some every expansion
Instanced housing or at least some sort of significant improvement such as removing the grandfathering, increasing apartment/small house viability or adding workshop for FCS that lack a house
Clipping fixes

Been going after my platinum ffvii remake, should have it with less then 80 hours game play. There are great other games to play anytime ffxiv has a slowdown.

We are already in one and I honestly dont know... they have settled now so it might not hit as bad next time, atm the best we can is hope everyone stays save and they can work as good as they can.

After WoW, a few months content drought feels like nothing. They used to go stretches of a year or more with no new patches.

My casual FC has dipped into Savage and we're having fun, might even start on the BLU Morbol achievement together at some point and trying a few new classes so I'll find stuff to do.

Sadly the Relic, DoH and DoL are severely lacking in long term play value this expansion and the Hunt has gone rather stale. Things are ok, but could be better.
