Please stop with the niche event items.

Stop giving outdoor items in events. We can't use them in apartments or FC housing and I'm not going to click a button for 9 hours for a house that I'll lose if I unsub in between patches.

Most people don't have a garden and would prefer anything else over it. Either make those place-able indoors and outdoors or don't make them part of the main rewards. Just feels unfair as a reward from a lvl 15 event quest that a lot of players will never be able to use and can't sell. We've had side costumes on the mog to accompany the main rewards, I think the outdoor furniture should be just that because it's not available for everyone.

If they were sellable, I think it would be acceptable because we could profit off them if we don't have a house, but as it is they are paperweight for the majority of the playerbase.

I love the posters and have been collecting those for years. Anyone with enough gil can buy an apartment and place it there. Outdoor furnishing? Limited to FC's (with access to placement) or people who own a plot (which is limited and therefore niche).

The outfits can be used by everyone.

The mounts can be used by everyone.

The food items can be used by everyone.

The confetti can be used by everyone. (I personally don't care for them but I can see the appeal for a screenshot)

You could argue that "everyone can get a house lul" but that's simply untrue because there's only a set amount of houses available, but that's not the topic and there's enough threads on that issue as it is.

I understand why getting a reward you cant use would be frustrating. At the same time, i like that they give out a variety of rewards at these events. Sometimes we get mounts or bardings, sometimes we get music, sometimes we get minis, sometimes we get outfits, sometimes we get indoor/outdoor furniture. Not every reward is equally valuable to every player, but thats ok too. Im trying to remember the last event that had a reward that i really wanted. It might have been the FF15 crossover. The last few have been duds for me. That doesnt mean that im upset with the bunny suit(or the flowers, or the valentione outfit that didnt look all that great). Im happy that some people seem to(overly) enjoy it. Maybe the next one will have a reward perfect for me.

While I agree that I'm fine with not every reward being "for me", and I am fortunate enough to have a house... there aren't nearly enough storage slots in the outdoor storeroom room to put them aside, and they're very rarely things I would want to have out all the time.

If I could discard and repurchase them (and not from the Mog Station!), that would be a lot more manageable.

This, id redecorate my garden every now and then but as long as i cant save the current setting, I dont wanna as I like it the way it is...

Garden paths are the biggest pain. They look so nice but they only come with two stepping stones per "object" and half your allowance is gone.

The game needs some prebuilt paths, I think. Or at least some larger pieces.

yes... I wanted some and quickly realized... nope. I ended up using 2 L shaped ones diagonaly to strech em... sucks. Also i wanna custimize my grass...

It's a relatively small percentage of event items that are outdoor furnishings and there are usually other rewards from the same event that aren't. I don't see why you feel it's an issue.

The prebuilt paths wouldn't work because plot layouts vary so much and not everyone wants to create a straight to the door path.

I can get behind having longer sets of stepping stones/stumps though. Anything to reduce the number of items being used to accomplish one design feature.

I think that all event rewards, as long as you get the achievement, should be purchasable via the Calamity Salvager sans those bought with gil. And if they are grind based, as in getting tokens, then they should just be 10-20k each from the Salvager as a trade off.

I also agree with OP in making them tradable. Some previous years items are still on the MB and thus in circulation. A few million gil in some cases, yes. But it's not $5.

Imo let us place flowers and stones and different grass, not counting for the slots. Did you see the upper MB at lavender beds? its like ALL THE FLOWERS but the servers melt if i place 3 patches?

Because those fields of flowers arent on the server, they are part of your client date. Placing 3 patches wont melt the server but placing 20 patches on 30 plots = 600 items on top of everything else could melt the server .

I do agree we dont have enough slots though. I dont think its workable to have certain items not counting as a slot because we certainly dont need yet another list/inventory
