    A Better Practice Dummy

So the current dummies in the game are a great way to practice your rotations and button setups, and to do a myriad of things.

But one thing it utterly fails at doing, is helping you learn while trying to pay attention to what your enemy is doing, especially when it comes to doing mechanics.

Maybe we could add another type of practice dummy, maybe 1 near all the other dummies, that throws randomly shaped and types of AoE on the ground while it is engaged. Said AoEs would do 0 damage but give you red X's with a buzzer sound if you fail to dodge it but otherwise be harmless.

That would let players practice their rotations in something closer to an actual combat situation, without being in actual combat.

solid idea, I also wouldn't mind some larger test dummy models for folks to more easily/accurately practice their corner-positioning and such.

edit: if it's as a n outdoor furniture, it'd even make for a neat thematic opportunity like having an "arena" in your yard or somesuch

An indoor training dummy sounds cool for housing stuff. As for a dummy that throws poo at you, ehh, you might as well just do normal mode raids or hard mode/story mode trials on repeat. There's only so much practicing on your own, isolated, in a controlled environment can do. There's really nothing they could give you with dummies that would be like paying attention to a real fight, short of giving the dummies moves from the fight, which would be redundant to just going and learning the fight and how to best work your rotation around it.

i think the point IS to practise by yourself in a vacuum, to make sure that you can handle all your kit while [things] are happening (some folks lose track during mechanics and oops! GL, eyes, or huton fell off! you could totally have prevented that if you'd worked on your muscle memory a bit more), without negatively impacting an entire team who might have a bad time because you're not contributing as you should.

or folks could just be perfectionists and feel bad that they're not at their own standards even if their failures aren't readily apparent to non-parsing party members
