Let's Play FFXIV!

Hello! As an excuse to replay the story and rewatch every cutscene and read every speech bubble(except Nanamo's) I've been recording my playthrough and providing commentary on it as I go.

If you used a Jump potion or you're just bored and feel like some nostalgia, give it a gander. Each vid is long, 30mins to an hour, but there's no need to watch every second, as you can obviously just skip through to the bits that you want to see.

It's far from a professional project, as I am not a professional gamer nor Youtuber, but I felt like sharing because I'm having a good time doing it. Part of the reason I'm doing it is to catalogue the quests they are trimming out in 5.3, but the LP will continue to the end point of the current story, and I will probably add to it every time there is a story patch.

It is currently up to the 2.1~2.55 era of quests, and I intend to wade through the 50 plateau instead of hard charging for Heavensward access. There's a lot of reminiscing, and I have done some recordings where I was drinking, so the commentary can be quite colorful at times.

Hopefully this doesn't constitute spam, being a month later, but my LP is well into Heavensward now. If you missed out on Heavensward's main story and job bits prior to 60, don't mind a somewhat scratchy mic(I think the adapter I'm using for my headset causes it innately), or just want to hear a friendly, sometimes salty, voice for 40mins to an hour~ this LP is for you!

Nah, I figure since they're only removing things it'd effectively be the same thing with less to be done. I'm also sure larger channels will sink their teeth into the changes right away, so that will get plenty of highlighting without me. Better quality highlighting too haha.

Though, for curiosity's sake, I might level another alt just to see exactly what changes for myself. They told us they'd trim what, like 15% of the quests out? And that comes up to be like 13 quests, if true.

It really didn't to me either, but I also guess I'm really more interested in seeing how they integrate Syrcus Tower raid series into the MSQ, cause they're doing that too, right? That's probably worth rolling another alt up to Praetorium.

Ahoy, ahoy! My Let's Play is up to Shadowbringers now! Recording via PS4 is easy but also frustrating. In a similar vein to easy but frustrating, my videos for it, in spite of being unable to make money due to me not meeting the criteria for the YT Partnership are being copyright claimed by companies that aren't affiliated with Square Enix for music tracks such as Twight Over Thanlan and Torn from the Heavens. Hah.
