I suppose it reflects the state of the community rather well when the tone of someone's post is of greater concern than the horrid cheating and scamming that has come to infest the game itself.

If I wanted to be taken seriously, I would start by not creating "serious" post from a lvl 1 alt. That just screams troll/coward.
I can't say I blame the OP entirely for that. I've had death threats sent my way from members of this community for liking and disliking specific canon characters - so I dread to think what someone challenging criminal activity within the game would face.
I don't think run sellers come to the official forums to be fair, let alone the people running the scams beyond to check how the forum id is spelled before going off to make their spoofed links. That said I also really can't blame people for not using a character associated with their real one given that there are specific twitter handles that quote 'bad posts' from this forum and not all their callouts are innocuous.
Insert bad apples quote
I wonder when people shifted from "this is a game I like" to just worshipping it. Where unsub therapists when they really needed? Or they're just part of the cult.

it’s wild how no ones addressing a lot of the post critically, most of the replies just boiled down to “it’s not a problem, deal with it or unsub” or “your a troll for wanting this game you pay for to be better”
it’s scary how common this is, on both the forums and reddit
If you really want discuss the game without mobs repeating same things over and over, there's some good Reddit about that. Mainsub is not a good place to talk about the state of the game, that place filled with fanatics, NPC, people using it as personal blog and some arts here and there.it’s wild how no ones addressing a lot of the post critically, most of the replies just boiled down to “it’s not a problem, deal with it or unsub” or “your a troll for wanting this game you pay for to be better”

Forums nowadays is more fitting about complaining and sharing your thoughts, at least some part of community reacts and discuss problems before thread will be flooded with unsub therapists and apologists, trying to shut up everyone who have different opinions.
It's a form of gas-lighting, mostly. It's certainly true that some posters could stand to be much more civil in regards to their contributions to the forum. Yet at the same time, even when posters are incredibly polite and constructive they often face the same response - assuming they even get a response in the first place.it’s wild how no ones addressing a lot of the post critically, most of the replies just boiled down to “it’s not a problem, deal with it or unsub” or “your a troll for wanting this game you pay for to be better”

There's also something of a weird shadow war going on in the background at times. As another poster pointed out earlier on within this very thread, there's a Twitter blog devoted to quoting people from this site which usually leads to the account's followers seeking the quote out and essentially attacking it within the thread.
I've seen posters make a perfectly reasonable suggestions or statements in a thread only to be attacked because whoever runs that particular Twitter account decided that they didn't like it.
There's many other issues too, such as the community representatives rarely posting on this forum after their initial introduction posts. Or responding to legitimate concerns raised by the community, such as the long overlooked post found here:

Which, objectively is a pretty valid subject to be addressed as a high priority. Especially when this isn't the first time that European players have been left out of promotional campaigns for exclusive items.
