La normalité n'est que la moyenne de nos folies individuelles.
Normality is just an average. I'm the weird, you're the bizarre.
I see you saw the player in the party finder selling feet pics hahaha
This is probably a troll but going to address the point about the forums. The reason people said alliance raids weren't raids is specifically in response to the post and/or following posts leveraging something the devs said about raids (8man) to defend his stance on alliance raids (24man). People were just correcting him.
Furthermore regarding the rest, the PF his hardly "littered" with junk parties offering clears, art, etc. etc. at best there are a handful that the GMs can't really do anything about because they don't openly advertise RMT or account sharing. The vast majority of PFs (VAST) are still regular PF groups.
The rest of the post I don't really have any opinion on.
I'm probably person 34567890 to bring this up though. I shall take my leave.
Ignoring most of the posts in here because good gods, so just to respond to the OP without assuming he's a troll (I'm sorry but this OP post is written like a pure troll)
1) Content Sellers: Unfortunately there isn't much that can be done on this part. The posts themselves in PF can be defended as the people selling runs for gil and requiring the person to actually be in the party. While we all know that is not true the evidence to the contrary is all in a third party source which SE cannot use as evidence which ties the hands of the GMs. While I heavily disagree with content selling (seriously what is the point? Bragging points? Talk about con artists) we just have to deal with the reality that they know how to get around being punished. This is the case in most MMOs.
2)Advertisements in Party Finders: For the most part things that are not blatantly violating the TOS are allowed, the GM's have said so themselves. And thankfully most of the people who use this don't clog it up by using certain listings to put themselves as high up on the PF as they can like the content sellers do. As someone on a RP server I don't really see the issue with this. Yes there are some cringey things but on Crystal it is utilized heavily to advertise RP events on the Data Center so perhaps I am a bit biased on this point. Either way for us it's not as bad as you're making it out to be, but alas perhaps it is on your Data Center.
3) There is no denying that the Forum community is definitely very different from the FF community as a whole. The bad apples and the trolls here definitely are more noticeable and congregate in larger numbers at times, though even with that I'm not quite certain I see it as too terrible. For the specific complaint here (which really should have just been brought up in that thread rather than being thrown into its own thread) that's not really a valid thing I see. Because the truth of the matter is that the poster was harping on the term raids and quoting the Devs when it is well known that the Devs use that number and terminology specifically for Extreme Trials and Savage Raids, not Normal Modes and Alliance Raids. Even further to the point there are indeed many things that are forced on you to complete the MSQ. ARR MSQ has you go back and do dungeons that up until then were optional, Guildhests as well. We are made to do countless Trials, many of which (looking at Shinryu and Tsukiyomi) are far more difficult than the CT series for the playerbase. I can't begin to count how many times I've seen threads asking for those trials to be nerfed because people simply could not complete them. Also most end game raiders have several, if not all, crafters at max to ensure they are able to stay top geared and repair in instance to avoid too many breaks from progression.
4) Okay this is complete bullox. I am sorry, I don't know who hurt you but talk about conspiracy theory. The Dev team cares, Yoshi quite a bit. They do their best and often try to beat Yoshi's expectations of them to ensure we get even more than we were supposed to. The NPC complain is just... yeah I don't even know how to respond to that one. Roulettes... they are a core mechanic of the game, every MMO has one and this is FF14's, this late in the game I doubt that will change. They explained Battle Leves were removed because they were vastly under utilized due to how little xp gain they gave, but buffing them would have made them too strong so they just opted to stop adding them. The Grand Company ranks I... don't even really see this as a complaint. They up it every time they come out with a new gimick or something to give that new rank. Having the rank just for the sake of having the rank is a bit... well... yeah I don't see why it would be a thing, there needs to be something to go with the rank. Even the dungeon complain I can't really agree with either. For the most part the one dungeon is enough, though I wish they left more in the Expert Roulette than they have. (Seriously if I get Grand Cosmos one more time I might scream). The Crafter and Gatherer revamps were needed for a long time, and this was the first time they've really been revamped since at least HW if not ARR. Since the addition of Specialist there really has been no big change to either, and lets be honest the cross class thing was annoying to all hell and needed to go asap anyway. And a lot of people have been asking for many changes. People have been begging for MCH revamp since they never could find its proper niche, and they managed to it this go around. PLD was in desperate need of additions and didn't get its best spot until SB. Balancing a game takes a lot of work and time, especially since the Devs do not want a mandatory make up. Yes we will find the meta regardless, but that meta is usually minuscule and not required to clear content.
For a split second I thought this was a TitanMen thread.
