A summary of healer issues

Eh, I'm not even debunking Ren on this occasion, I'm simply airing that this was a strange and rather meaningless tangent that isn't even Ren's fault, it just came about. /shrug.

As for why it usually becomes Ren vs everyone else, Ren has a pattern of forming an opinion from something/somewhere and promptly defending that opinion to the absolute end regardless of if it is categorically proven wrong, is based entirely on second hand info or is in some other way shaky at best. The guy is seemingly clinically incapable of holding his hands up and accepting defeat. At best you might get a slow and steady goalpost shuffle as seen in the 1T1H2DPS vs 1T3DPS thread. At worst you get name calling whilst crying foul.

There's a very good reason why Ren ends up with fights all over these boards, not just here. There's a very good reason why Ren has his very own impersonator. Ren has tried to take over these boards with his often inane, morose and dishonest views every bit as much as we've tried to debunk them where necessary.

Don't get me wrong, I've made some absolutely idiotic posts, comments and suggestions and whatnot here over the years, and I'm not trying to suggest that every post Ren makes is wrong either. It's just that he has absolutely no idea when it's best to just let it slide. I was one of the first to defend him on the 1T1H2DPS thread and yet I arguably ended up being the harshest of all on him over that. Because he just couldn't bring himself to own the mistake.

*edit* And yeah, not a fan of the whole silence is tacit agreement view either TBH. Ironically taking that stance is arguably a large cause of the circular arguments here.

I don’t mean to frame it as a ‘good side vs bad side’ kind of thing, or that it’s a case of ‘right vs wrong’.

I do get what you’re saying about Renathras getting a little ahead of himself sometimes, but at the same time it feels like a situation where he butts heads with someone and because they’re both so passionate about the subject, it ends up like bulls locking horns but neither of them ever seem to move, so nothing is ever really resolved. Not that I think anyone is any more ‘innocent’ or ‘guilty’ of it than others - we all get ahead of ourselves sometimes.

I just feel like sometimes if a person is refusing to budge on a certain subject, there isn’t any point in trying to convince them otherwise. It’s inevitable that people will disagree, and open discussion about it can lead to resolution. Not that it necessarily has to be ‘everyone made up and lived happily ever after’, I do feel like there comes a point where we should acknowledge ‘I’ve made my point as clearly as I can so if others still don’t agree it’s easier to accept it than continue challenging them’

I also like how we're getting perennial circlets now. I guess its easier to make all gear circlets than it is to allow viera and hrothgar to wear hats.

As an addendum to the ongoing drama: We've had that person consistently derail the threads and make them all about themselves for. months now.

I'd say stop replying. Call out any innacuracies in their post if you must, just stop engaging. Trolls feed on attention. They will occasionally resort to apparent attempts at a genuine discussion to engange you but they will quickly spin them into drama. Just stop replying. Say you're not interested and move on.

SE really gotta learn how to say the words 'deal with it' more. Just make Viera/Hroths able to wear any hat, and if it clips, 'deal with it', don't wear that hat/helmet. 'S the way Au Ra players have rolled for several years, their horns constantly clip through stuff. And if the clipping annoys them that much, then their solution is 'dont use that helmet', and they use a different one

If one modmaker can make a mod that allows for most headwear in the game to work on those races, SE should be able to

All they have to do is to remove the role restriction and that's it. Maybe keep the AF as an exception if they really want to cling to that same old "MuH iMmErSiOn!!!"

I get it, "casters" and all, but good god...I don't want armor, I just would like things that aren't always dresses.
