Honestly, it probably won't affect the DPS mains, because healers are so simple now that anyone can play them in regular content, so they can just bully a friend to come heal for them. Can’t wait till 7.0 launches 2 new DPS, gives tanks everything they want and continues to ignore healers and then everyone goes “where are the healers I’ve been queuing for 3 hours for expert”
DPS mains love to pretend like the healer role collapsing doesn’t affect them
Most DPS players simply don't care, their role is the only thing that matters after all. So they will complain about long queue times until SE makes healers even dumber as a knee-jerk reaction. Can’t wait till 7.0 launches 2 new DPS, gives tanks everything they want and continues to ignore healers and then everyone goes “where are the healers I’ve been queuing for 3 hours for expert”

...Do you like the sound of automatic aoe healing pulses?
Or maybe they'll throw in some healer mounts so people with little self-control will force themselves to play the jobs.
They won't even notice while levelling. They'll queue for the dungeon, wait for a few mins, and go 'this is taking too long' and just suck it up and go with trustsCan’t wait till 7.0 launches 2 new DPS, gives tanks everything they want and continues to ignore healers and then everyone goes “where are the healers I’ve been queuing for 3 hours for expert”

For EX roulette? IDK I guess we get to look forward to being revered for having the power to force the queue to pop, that'll be kinda nice
'Lilybell is now permanent, can be freely moved once per 5 seconds, pulses every 3 seconds instead of when damage is taken, stack limit removed, potency per pulse reduced to 300'
Ooor... give everybody Recuperate ala PvP![]()
It's a combination of selfishness and myopia. Selfishness that they want all the new toys (Jobs, etc), and myopia in that they legitimately are so short sighted/lacking awareness, they genuinely don't consider how it affects other roles, and how things happening to other roles can affect them, too. Lots of people cheering the 2 DPS Jobs in the DPS forum, but there are people there saying "Tell me you weren't around in 5.0 without telling me you weren't around in 5.0..." So I think there are a lot of people that get it, at least. Not that it matters. Can’t wait till 7.0 launches 2 new DPS, gives tanks everything they want and continues to ignore healers and then everyone goes “where are the healers I’ve been queuing for 3 hours for expert”

Who knows, maybe they'll try selling the AST rework like 5.0 MCH or 6.0 SMN (and MNK to a lesser extent) as "basically a third free/new Job!". Both generated a lot of hate but both also generated a lot of fans, so it's hard to say.
EDIT:
Hey now, don't you be badmouthin' my Eos!
I know it's niche and cheesy and silly, but last night's CT run, the Atamos platforms, I sent Eos forward to heal the Tank (one of those that tanks the adds right on top of the Atamos so the 4 people on the platform can't snipe at it) and said "Eos, take the wheel!" It's also cool soloing Deep Dungeons to have a little healing partner you can trust with MOST of your healing needs freeing you up for dealing with mechanics and the enemy to a point. Or when you come in for a landing with a Hunt train in Garle on the tree Mark and some jerk already early pulled it so it smacks you in the face with the frozen blast just as you dismount. "I may be stuck in a block of ice, but my Eos is still healing!"
I still love that SCH in the field with a tank Choco and Eos at your side can be a "party in a box". SMN used to be with a healing choco back when Titan could be the tank, but alas, only SCH remains as an actual pet class.

oh hey look, its someone on their free login week who updated the OP because guess what- p12s got cleared with no healers. Back to the status quo after pandaemonium's second stage as expected
I had the misfortune of accidentally queueing as sch not smn for a run of babil (hunting a glam for bonding anniversary). hadn't played sch for years. Actually dozed off during the dungeon from boredom thankfully my bonding partner who I was running with yelled over mic to wake me up.
At least I got to have a nice look at sch's current abomination of a toolkit and think up over half an hour a few improvements that I gave to said partner when the topic of game design came up. Sadly its probably more than SE ever will.
Oh, just bring 3 dps and a tank. I do that all the time with friends for expert and 90 dungeons.
Edit: Trials? I don't know lol. But its that easy nowdays.
That would be nice and should have been a thing for a while now...
If they do that (and not somewhat fix healers) we should all just go farm unsync halicarnassus
When that happens they will probably patch the achievements in a week while tanks exploited that for years XD
In the absence of information to the contrary aren’t all possibilities of equal probability?
So there’s a chance they ignored all this. It’s also equally probably that they’ve already made all the dps/healing adjustments everyone wants and they’re just waiting for 7.0 because for some reason they’re completely against making large-scale job/classes changes mid-expansion
I think they don't want someone who returns just for patch MSQ to have a f***ed up bar or big rotation changesIn the absence of information to the contrary aren’t all possibilities of equal probability?

Will put you on ignore if you can't form a logical argument but argue nonetheless
