Ask and ye shall receive."9. Healer glamour compared to other roles is double standards
Other roles have various amounts of cloth and armour options of multiple amounts from full tunics and plate to cloth, to hardly anything at all
Healers are continuously stuck with robes, shawls or a couple of wraps. Ignoring the fact that male healers are a thing, why can't we have some proper armour sets instead of cloth for once? Imagine a scholar in plate alongside his warrior allies like the lore, or a white mage in a gambison and chain mail wandering the land to bring succor.

Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
God I miss maining a healer back in ARR and HW. The combat medic play style was so enjoyable as it felt super rewarding to master the toolkits and pump out great damage as a reward. How far healers have fallen, shame on you devs for ruining healing so much!
Oh and GIVE US AERO 3 BACK YOU SAVAGES
I mean, I miss HW Scholar the most. God.... such a perfect job (not you dissipation).God I miss maining a healer back in ARR and HW. I personally enjoyed this patch healing. It’s really fast paced. Pulling all the adds and burning them down while keeping the tank alive is a rush.
I miss HW and SB astrologian (hw offence and sb cards and buffs)
2.0 and some of 3.0 WHM
Scholar sadly I can't give an answer to, but I think anything before shb hit. I didn't play much as it wasn't for me, but I always appreciated a well played scholar co healer
how long ago did I last play smn/sch? well when I swapped to level up arcanist to 30 from 26...I found I had heavensward aetherflow still on there alongside our old friends blizzard 2, protect and stoneskin
It was extremely painful levelling it up to 30 so I could get some more inventory space. Not just because the pet destruction was so deadly. I haven't removed them off my hotbar, I have just placed them on the L2 bar since we don't have proper skillsets anymore until 70 ish
Ok, now what do you do on bosses 70% of the time? 21111111111112
If you're happy with that, good for you. That's fine. But many of us simply aren't.

I hadn't realized just how bad it was until I decided to pick up AST. I spent most of my healing as a WHM and although extremely tedious, I didn't really mind Stoning things to death. However, I think I was given fair warning when an FC member stated in chat that they were doing the current relic quest...as AST.
"I screwed up."
"What happened?"
"I'm doing this as AST."
FC: "Oooooooooooohhhh"
I picked back up AST just a couple of days ago and now understand what they meant. I constantly feel as if I'm playing Blackjack with no chance to win 21 anytime I play solo content; not to mention the lack of DPS abilities typically leading to card fart attack that leaves a DoT.
The really sad part is SE, for some unknown reason, decided that AST was the DPS model they wanted all healers to emulate. SCH were very complex in the DPS department, WHM was decently complex and then there was AST.I hadn't realized just how bad it was until I decided to pick up AST. I know career Astrologians. They wouldn't have wished their Pre-Shadowbringer DPS rotation on ANYONE. Yet somehow the SE healer designer thought this was the pinnacle of healer DPS play.

Healers do seem to be largely ignored by the dev team, I doubt anyone on the team really plays a healer consistently. I would love another direction in gear design rather than the standard voluminous robes or strangely designed academic gear healers normally get, but not sure that full suit armor is the direction to take it. Glamour issues are really the bottom of the list though, and to be honest if healers were engaging and fun to play people probably wouldn't be very worried about their glamour anyway.I am curious to see how the new expansion plays out with healers, but also pretty sure they are going to not only leave the current ones as they are but also not add a new one citing balance issues again.
