Hell, even if it was a 2m CD that increased damage by 50% for 15s or something it would be good. Could line up with party buffs, useful in dungeons etc.As much as I liked when healers had cleric stance, the implementation itself was weird since healers were the only job whose main stat wasn't its damage stat (Though I think tanks may have briefly had their damage tied to vitality, but I forget since I didn't tank at that time)
I can't really see old cleric stance working as there isn't actually any substance to healer dps rotations, maybe if they changed it to a 20% damage boost and made it cost 3000 mp I could see it spicing things up a bit, but just swapping stats wouldn't really work well since it was more of a hindrance than an actual fun aspect of healing for the majority of people
Wouldn't be TOO overpowered. Doesn't fix the 1 button spam but does make it more impactful and skillful.
Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
They should just make dancer a healer.
- Healing dance partner by dealing dmg
- Healing step that would have different effects/potencies depending on the number of steps performed
- Add a few healing oGCDs here and there

Finally got around to adding scholar onto the sheet of shb actions. It was difficult tracking down some of the info and I am certain the pet potencies are slightly off.
Will do a comparison on launch of 6.0...not that I'll really need to with sch but more importantly, I will also update the summary of healer issues.
hopefully at EW launch one of the devs will chance across this thread
That's essentially what people wanted Dancer to be before we knew that it would be a ranged physical dps.
Can we please start commenting on the more relevant and useful posts to stop having the spam from Victoria filling the first page of the forums. Im trying my best to avoid interaction with post that are just incredibly misleading and full of bait. It really delegitimizes the more productive discussion when someone new to the forum has to wade thru 5 or 6 poorly written rants based purely on speculation or outright lies to find anything useful.

The concept of dancer as a healer seemed so interesting to me because in my mind, it didn't really fit the sort of "mage" mold that healers have going for them. My imagination ran wild with weird gimmicks for the job that didn't necessarily involve it casting X or Y heals (or perhaps just a select few).

With the removal of TP, any hope of dnc style healing died I think. Even in XI where it had a lot to work with, they made It just so it wasn't enough to be a main healer.
Yup, I liked to think DNC/chemist (CHM?) would be a "healer that plays like a NIN" basicallyThe concept of dancer as a healer seemed so interesting to me because in my mind, it didn't really fit the sort of "mage" mold that healers have going for them. Honestly it is frustrating how SE thinks healers MUST be disciple of magic and it will only restrict them with further healing jobs.
