ninja has always been a very click/action heavy job because mudras. Still, another thing to bare in mind is that Astro will undoutedly have higher clicks than what's shown if you are on controller because you can't directly click to party member. And even with the slowing-down it's still the highest CPM job according to this reddit post.
This graph more shows that ninja has been slowed so the difference between it and the other jobs isn't as extreme.
I don't get it. I've played BLM for a while now and I noticed the job is heavily reliant on procs at level 50. The thing is, why can't WHM be like that? I think someone mentioned it in the forums before about WHM being a proc healer. It makes sense, wouldn't it? We already have a proc with Cure 1 -> Cure 2, so why can't we have more traits and spells that work the same?
For example: Casting Stone/Glare has a small chance to proc for a new Water spell. Or casting holy can have a small chance to proc for a new AoE spell. Having WHM be like that would rejuvenate the job a little bit and make it more fun.
As do AST and SCH. AST with Enhanced Benefic and SCH with Catalyse.
Level 50 BLM isn't really fun to play though, as it's essentially healer gameplay (single spammable and DoT) but you have an annoying proc that you have 0.5s to react to. Fire 4 is what makes BLM's rotation work.
Having just levelled BLM to 54 in the last few days begrudgingly, I can state its slightly more interesting than a healer as you have thunder3/2 procs (thunder 3 instead of our missing aero 3) and a choice of 2 aoes in ice phase depending on where the enemy is standing.
Those 2 admittedly annoying procs are at least token effort enough to make dungeons slightly less monotenous
on the subject of procs though lets look at the current ones
Benefic/cure 1 is simply too weak once you get to level 50 and encourages benefic/cure 1 spam which needs to be eliminated.
On that basis alone, we could change these into a trait upgrade.
Catalyse is critical shield, it doesn't really count as a proc mechanically even if a second status effect appears.
know what would be good? Having WHM use proc style damage rotation. That would make it mildly less tedious.
On my server, it seem like every third character I see is another WHM. There seems to be tons of people leveling healer. Did I miss something?

I love healers and i think this is the first time they are balanced and all 3 perform well. Good job SE. Cant join the salt train. Im having fun with them
Glad you're enjoying them. I can see the appeal of wanting balance over more enjoyable gameplay, however healing as a role has been pretty wonky for a while and people would like healers to be treated with the same love as DPS jobs instead of making them the same. Same goes for tanks.
Also your comment on the "salt" train? I would say there's a bit of people on that train so I'm guess we're just the whiners to you. Whether or not you are complacent with how healers are currently doesn't mean that people can't voice their opinions. There's a reason why there's a massive thread of why healer mains have quit.
It's actually sad that SE wanted more healers by making them "easier" when those who do get bored of the staleness of healers then move onto other roles.
Actually, it's pretty dumb that they wanted to lure in more players from other roles. DPS players will always be the majority, them actually switching to healer or tank is quite rare. They get bored and go back and I don't blame them.
What SE should've focused on was making healers more intricate and building on the foundations they set. They should have focused on the existing player base rather than try to appeal to the masses that never were interested. Healer-minded players will always gravitate to the role and SE should have capitalized on that.
So yeah, glad you're liking the current state but your negative comment is not needed.
Exactly. WHM would have served as a great "entry" healer, with the other two jobs being more complex early on, and white mage picking up more finesse abilities at later levels. Squeenix trying to make ALL heal jobs easy, from early to later levels, has left a mighty big gap of BOREDOM for all three heal jobs. There is no doubt in my mind that 6.0 will introduce a new healer ... my expectation is that it will have an even easier entry threshold than WHM, and none of the jobs will see an increased skill ceiliing (they'll probably all receive more insta-heal abilities).
This game has been amazingly successful and popular.. but Square Enix is going to KILL it, if devs don't invest some time and effort into making sure healers have something to do besides heal.
