What is your least favorite in game activity, and why?

Just wondering what everyone's least favorite in game activity is and why you don't like it.

Can be anything from house camping to EX/Savage content.

Me personally it is PVP (since ShB pvp changes). I never cared for it to the point I'd log in just to play pvp but I did enjoy pvp enough to at least do my daily roulette for it every day, (and maybe 1 or 2 "extras" just cause > _>), but I found the changes in ShB were just wrong direction to say it politely. I don't like the 3 potions thing, I don't like that Onsall Hakair map (at all), did not like the healer reworks, etc. The list goes on and on but ultimately I just avoid pvp. I think I played 1 match about a month ago to try and stir any feelings I had left for it, but just left disgusted once again and have thus just utterly rejected that content entirely and will never again "waste" my time doing that, ever. In my honest opinion this is quite possibly the worst thing in FFXIV and I cannot be bothered to play it regardless of cool mount, glams, house deco, orchestrion rolls, I'll do without, and be glad I didn't play that area of the game.

Another aspect I don't care for are EX Trials (ShB) and the "Savage" content (all tiers). Maybe I'm just burnt out on the whole telegraphed move dancing simulator style fights, but it's just heckin boring. I really don't like placard camping (I don't think anyone logs in and decides WEE 10+ hours of placard clicking) but I've legit had more fun camping placards (partially because the friends I've met during that time), than all Savage tiers and ShB EX trials. I would rather click a placard than do that content. I don't dislike it to the point I am at with PVP, but it's close and it's bad in my opinion.

I guess I'll add things here that I do enjoy, house deco'ing (even with the mind shatteringly tedious floating things up as you desire). I like the variety there, and the open ended gameplay there. I don't have to stand in a tiny area to avoid damage, and I can create something I can share with my friends to come over and say whatever they want to say about it. I can visit other people's creations and gawk at things they created. I love the glamour system in game, I can pretty much make myself look as multi-colored and silly as I want, (And I like being multi-colored and silly looking!!), and the variety again is as far as I can tell unrivaled in any current game I've played. I like the more tasteful glams the most, I'm the kind of person that tries to ignore thong wearing individuals as much as possible, I don't care to see your butt cheeks/man pack/don't think your viera is hawt, none of that. Put some pants or a skirt on or something, /rant.

I also like the music in this game, and orchestrion rolls. I don't know if this would be included in "housing" stuff I like so much, but if it is, I still think it deserves good mention. I really like that! Thanks for putting it in game.

Ok I think that about sums up my thoughts on things.

Like you the ShB changes to PVP have turned it into my current least favorite activity, and that was after me happily using it to level jobs back in SB because I found the PVP versions of things like BLM to actually be engaging to play, particularly for frontlines. But then they ripped out a good chunk of the CC potential and then stopped allowing the queue to filter into 24 man brackets for frontlines if not enough people were around for the full group, and I just couldn't bother with it anymore. Not only are the queues atrocious but half the enjoyment I got out of well placed CC moves is gone as well, so part of the strategy is gone as well for me. Plus while I know this might seem absurd, I actually really liked the 24 man frontlines matches. I hated how big the maps were, but I actually felt like I could make a different in those matches as opposed to being just another cog in one giant unfeeling zerg like with the 72 mans.

Haven't touched it since the changes were made and currently have no plans to do so either unless they attach another item grind into the mix.

Any form of grinding that isn't combinable with at least one other progression and keeps you from doing anything else while you're doing it.. for example: Eureka elemental level grind.

Least favorite activity =/= content I do not like. If I don't like or care for a certain activity, I don't really participate in it.

Out of the activity I do participate in, my least favorite are probably progressing Beast Tribes ranks. It's not because I don't enjoy the quests themselves or the story as those are big reasons why I will do them, and continue to do them after max rank. But it's the whole three quests per day in a 'use em, or lose em' allowance system. This makes them obligatory, which I hate. If I want to take a day or two off from the game, that tacks on the same amount of days into how long it will take to max them out. I would like it much better if we could at least build up those allowances. Within the daily limit of 12 of course.

Other than that, bouts with RNG can be something that on some days I just can't deal with it in any way whatsoever. This encompasses a lot of activity I do, which is why I can get burned out dealing with it. Even though RNG is baked into just about everything in some way, it's more about not doing things where I have to leave things to chance.

I suppose the Pagos mob grinding. People tell me it harkins back to FFXI grinding which was laid back but they also tell me the combat was slower paced and didn't require furiously keeping up with all the GCD on the keyboard. I don't mind laid back grinding like in Runescape which I find relaxing, the mob grinding in FFXIV is just at a level of intensity which just makes it a total chore for me personally. If it's mindless grinding, I shouldn't have to put my mind to it.

Collectables buttons. From what I can tell, its exactly the same button/ability set from DoL to DoL, but in order to use them you need to equip your bar with a separate set of identical buttons in order to use collectables on multiple DoL jobs. Its not a big thing but it drives me nuts!

Example: BTN Collector's Glove ability with exactly the same icon and use options as MIN Collector's Glove, only one says BTN and one says MIN on it. :/

I don't do Ex/Savage/Ultimate. The pace it requires doesn't match my own pace. I like to have the possibility to switch from a content to another and really don't feel to stay for two hours to run the same content, to wipe, to try again, three evenings a week and to grind after that. It's just not my thing.

    Roleplay.

People are weird and the few times I've done it (both as participator and as 'watching from the side') there's always some drama happening sooner or later.

Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX Q&A Summary (10/30/2013)
Q: Will there be any maintenance fees or other costs for housing, besides the cost of the land and house?
A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.
