ok the topic is least fav and why not least fav but I like the design...come on guys.
PvP just doesn't work. The only incentive for people to do it is glam. To each there own.

*shakes a hand* good to see a brother in mind (or a sister). My deep hatred for PvP started in Perfect World and Aion, though, not in WoW. There also was Aika 2, and I honestly still wonder how I even succeeded in playing this game for 2 years, considering that PvP there was pretty much the only available high end content, with almost dead PvE.I strongly agree here. I was never a fan of PvP, if anything, playing on a PvP server in WoW is what made me hate that environment, but XIV's is rather... interesting. It got me by surprise that the way classes play is set up differently that they would in PvE, and in a way it makes it more lightweight to rely more on movement and quick action instead of long pre-calculated rotations. I'm as casual as it gets so I won't even bother with rankings or job balance, but as far as I can tell, XIV PvP is decent.
That said, PvP as a genre is just not my cup of tea and would normally avoid it unless necessary.
The only MMO with open world PvP I can give a credit of respect to is Blade and Soul, where you need to wear a special attire to participate in it, so if you don't want to - you just don't wear it, and no one can force you by killing you out of nowhere. I left the game sadly, but for reasons other than not being satisfied with it.
I usually enter FF14 PvP when there is something I want to get from the Wolfs Mark shop... as many other people do, I guess. And then there are also occasional "okay, I have the mood for this" situations when I visit it just for fun without aiming at any rewards, just for the sake of participating. Sometimes it happens once per month, sometimes once per week, sometimes once per patch. My most active period was Garo event farming.
I mean, you quoted me saying "exactly this", which technically would mean that we share our opinion about PvP in this game, when we obviously don't (it can be least favorite for both, but our reasons are different). Nothing wrong with you not liking how it's done (to each their own, how you just said), I just thought it had sence to clarify that we are of different opinions.

- Least appealing? Probably hardcore raiding, because even my relatively casual static back in HW was very stressful to keep up. A lot of fun, but a lot of stress.
- Also have zero interest in things like mahjog and triple triad, or chocobo racing.
- I absolutely hate jumping puzzles in all forms. Some of the sightseeing logs are just an absolute nightmare because of the freaking jumping puzzles and I hate it.
- Waiting 18+ hours total for houses sucked pretty bad too.
- Running Castrum. I do the roulette for Prae not worse and less rewarding not-Prae.
- PvP is something I've always loved but it's just not fun in this game. Something about the feel of the combat, the spell delay partly maybe, I dunno, but something about it just makes PvP in this game just feel incredibly unsatisfying. It just feels like mashing buttons and watching nothing die because nothing DOES die unless people actually focus the same person. Even the big fights in the new map, which are frankly more fun than just about anything else on those maps, have a feeling of just... being there? Like there's this big fight happening but I don't feel the *impact* of it, I don't feel that YEAH TAKE THEM DOWN kinda feeling anywhere near as often in this game as any other I've played. Hard to explain it lmao

"Run when you have to, fight when you must, rest when you can." - Elyas Machera, The Wheel of Time

Organizing groups. Using Party Finder, refilling the group, waiting, disbanding group, voice chat, scheduling, cancellations, applying to statics, leaving statics, dragging a bad run to the end of the raid time, cutting a good run short at the end of the raid time, turning down real life meetups because you signed up to play the game at that time, having anti-PuG constraints like savage loot and PotD fixed party, and browsing a million different Discord channels to find out when people are doing something you need a premade for.
It's the worst part about any MMO. I just want to log in and play the game.

Least fav activity : PvP
2nd least: Crafting
Least Favourite is BLU, every time I play it I'm reminded I'll never be able to main my favourite job in the franchise.
Savage Completion Rate ~5%+ of active players. Community: "Ugh stop catering to savage"
Ultimate Completion Rate ~1% of active players. Community: "Ugh stop catering to the hardcore raiders"
Frontline/ Rival Wings/ Hidden Gorge Mount Aquisition ~0.05-1% of active players. Community: "Ugh PVP is so dead in this game, they should stop investing in it"
Blue Mage Morbol Mount Aquisition ~0.01% of active players. Community: "WoW bLuE mAgE iS sO fUn AnD aCtIvE i CaN't WaIt FoR mOrE lImItEd JoBs"

I don't like dungeons in FFXIV, they are all the same with a different coat of painting. Especially level cap dungeons. I kind of miss capping my tomes in Eureka, in a sense.
Also, I never play PvP because that's just not my thing.but I enjoy FFXIV keeping it separate.
In descending order of personal disgust: ***EUREKA***, Ranked PvP, Getting an EX trial in Mentor Roulette, Mahjong/LordsOfVerminion/ChocoboRacing, Hunt Trains, Ultimate, Savage, Clearing an EX trial 99 times, PotD/HoH, Clearing an EX trial once, Fishing, Frontlines, FATEs in general.
But I've been able to convince myself that most of these things simply don't exist, or weren't meant for me in the first place, so /shrug.
... and I'm really, really hoping that the new relic will be an ARR/HW style grind instead of Eureka-like or else I'll continue just logging on Tuesdays/Wednesdays to cap weekly tomes, and a few minutes on other days of the week to water plants and say hi to people.

Eureka: Snooze fest of a grind, lack of accomplishment, bs levelling system, poorly designed maps, dull story...yeah I hated it when I came out and haven't been back.
Savage raiding: Its not the fights themselves that bother me but the other people I have to suffer. Your parses are not as important as avoiding instakill aoes, I will not rescue you out if you deliberately stay there. That and the raid community seem determined to exclude anybody who 1. plays ps4 (who cant parse) 2. Has to take a break from raiding one tier due to irl issues and doesnt have up to date parses and 3. People who'd rather play mechanics safely rather than focus on uptime for the first clear.
Pvp: Its messy and unfun no matter what iteration it is. This game is just not suited to it on a fundamental level. It just devolves into dogpiling.
Crystal tower+main scenario+50/60/70. Boring slogs, but at least its not eureka
Last but not least Housing. Need I say more?

1) FEAST. Not because I don't like competition or anything like that, but it's more punishment than reward. On top of that, the rankings are laughably exploitable. On top of that, we rarely hear anything from the devs about it. It's just a festering pit of vipers and hot garbage. I literally only do it to work on improving my PVP skills because I *do* like Frontline, the Naadam and Shatter specifically. I also hoard collars like a crazy cat lady.
2) Pagos gave me repetitive stress injuries. >_> I liked how Eureka eventually turned out though with the different skills that you could earn.
3) Leveling up my TRUSTS. I hate doing this. I hate, hate, hate it. I didn't know when I finished SHB that they'd start back over at 70. I never want to run Holminster again.
"We want bunny suits for guys!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Ishgard housing!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Viera!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Cloud's motorcycle!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Blue Mage!"-- OK! ✅
"We want the ability to earn past Feast rewards!" - HAHA no that's sacred.
