    just had a talk with someone more knowledgeable about servers and stuff: shit's pricey even for a small one and even on a priority list you will wait easily 7 months other than that apparently Endwalker's been way more successful than anticipated like we're talking an extra 70% player growth than what they anticipated so yeah..pretty damn rough.

    Would've loved for them to say it and not search for these info but here they are

    I hadn't had any connection issues since EW until today. I've suddenly started getting considerable (5%) packet loss to the FF servers starting about an hour ago, which has already resulted in one 90k disconnect so far. It's definitely not my ISP, I have a perfectly stable connection to top level domain servers and the like. Doing a trace route, it looks like it's on SE's side, specifically with 204.2.229.230 as others have noted.

    So this is from my continued observations as it is happening -

    Being in any Endwalker Zone - Error is bound to happen
    Being in Endwalker Dungeons with Players or Trusts - Error is bound to happen

    The added stress from many logins and non-stop teleportation compounds the issue it seems around Peak-Hours though I've seen the server **** itself even during 4-6AM EST, clogged instances also seem to really aggravate issues whether your in that instance or not. Though being in Low pop. instances seems to lessen the chance of the error to happen.

    Any MSQ cutscene will boot you randomly.

    Being inside a Inn seems incredibly stable.

    I never seem to have problems when I'm not in Endwalker Content (which is bizarre), I'm on EST so maybe our servers is not as bad off but could be alot better?

    This is gonna be called FFXIV - Error Walker the longer this goes on or has already been given that title.

    Unfortunately, it seems the only way I've been able to keep a steady connection is using a VPN as others have suggested. So it seems until this is fixed, some of us are stuck paying a separate subscription to play at all (which doesn't seem to be a solution for everyone).

    EDIT: Even if there was some countermeasure to allow people who d/ced right back in without waiting on queue, that'd be preferable than playing 40 minutes after waiting for 4 hours, then getting back on antoher queue.

    @Square Enix, can you be transparent and tell us who's the problem when these hops are faulty and who we have to call because our providers definitely won't do anything when it's the last hops that are the problems.....

    Exactly! Our isp's will tell us there is no issue because the problems are not happening within their network but at the end of the hop. So this becomes a bigger issue and SE just seems unwilling to respond to this in any significant way.
