Whats wrong with the housing demo timer??

I used to own a house just by the MB in Lavender. Voluntarily demolished it because I can't (and won't) be forced to keep subbing/playing just to maintain a virtual house. Life happens and it feels good not having to worry about additional stressors; especially not a property in an MMO. I still remember Shirogane Savage and it was not a good experience in the slightest. Having said that, I did enjoy decorating and coming up with my own designs when I had a house. Nowadays I just play The Sims whenever I feel like decorating rooms and I'm having fun with it.

Lack of housing is the price SE willing to pay for "neighbourhood feeling", whatever that is. Whether this is worth it or not is up for debate, but at this state of the game demolition timer is a necessary evil and something I begrudgingly support given the alternative. So far I think SE has been fair regarding this; 45 days inactivity and occasional grace periods in the event of local/global disasters. Could be a lot worse I suppose.

I had another 2 tries this weekend and i really get the impression that the unlocking in the middle of the night (my timezone UTC+2) is on purpose. The first try unlocked at 03:58 and the second at 06:02.

Despite the fact that everytime a plot shows up its camped by 8 or more ppl. How im supposed to compete, as a person with a normal life, without using a bot?

I know that bots are bad and all that stuff. But seriously without using a bot to spam the place card there is not the slightest chance for someone like me to even participate long enough (until timer unlocks) to even have a chance getting the plot. This where already the 7 or 8 plot in succession that unlocked in the middle of the night or very early in the morning.

Joining the high crowded servers may be cool to someone, but it have some drawbacks. This is one of them. You need compete more for the limited resources.

Sry but i didn't joined the Server because its cool nowdays or something. I created this char when 1.0 was released and its my first and only one since then. And yes it ticks me of a bit when i see ppl transferring to an overpopulated server or creating a new char there with the goal getting a plot there. Of course i can understand the reasons and i think its SE fault in the first place to not being able to handle this stuff properly.

One temporary solution could have been showing a big fat warning that plot buying is disabled for any new transfered or created char for fixed amount of time or until the situation got better. Of course there may be better ways and thats just one idea. SE has to do something about this, but as everyone can see they dont care. Sure adding Shirogane was nice and Ishgard to, but everything else just feels like a bandaid fix and dont will solve the issues on overpopulated servers.
