Whats wrong with the housing demo timer??

Seriously this can't be just some stupid coincidence, that's my 5th attempt buying a plot in 10 days and it always unlock when most ppl sleep or getting ready for work.

Im from germany and play on Ragnarok, my timezone is UTC +2. This shitty plots always show up when its already pretty late here (between 22 - 24h) and unlock every time happend between 5:00 and 6:30.

How do i know that? Because i left my char logged in and looked and the chat later when i got back. Of course im not ingame myself at a time like this.


So how do im supposed to get a plot even if there are just 1 or 2 other ppl besides me that try to buy the plot? Should i getting unemployment, ruining my RL and sleep for this shit, hiring a monkey or maybe some asian dudes? Maybe i should just give a shit about and use a bot like a lot of other ppl i have seen.

I can fully understand everyone who is doing this and i really pity everyone who still sits there for hours, starring at this stupid place card and clicking that shit manually all the time. In my last attempt i have seen someone when i checked the chat next morning who really was there 10h straight and tried to buy the plot (together with a few others) by hand and lost to someone who joined pretty late.

Also why are ppl that transferred from other worlds a short while ago allowed to buy plots on an overpopulated serves? Our waiting list is pretty huge. On worlds like Ragnarok everyone who creates a new char or transfer there should get a big fat warning that he would not be allowed to buy any plots for the next 12 months or stuff like that.

Seriously if you want or plan to get a house dont come to our server there are enough other Worlds with tons of free plots. Don't make things more worse than they already are.

i got that fc mate who wants a house pretty badly, last night on our server there were 9 S houses free, this morning all are gone - i have 0 clue how, it cant be that all had the timer run out as the one he wanted was already more then a day old as it was reduced at least 3x. While he waited another plot next to them got free too (which i never saw happen like that) which was also taken this morning, less then 6 hours you mind.

Idk, either house sellers cheat that way and grab the free S plots after ppl relocated or we had 9 houses expire alll within the same few hours...

(also on that 2nd house i saw some ppl still stand with /bussy clicking the placecard lol)

Housing is broken... that's not new. And you are the second thread with this problem today XD

We are several people who request actual housing for everyone.

Easiest and cheapest one for SE
+ upgrade apartements with several sizes
+ an option (or included) for a greenhouse

It's unlikely to expect a full Wildstar-like overhaul, even thought I would love it. Something :
+ Instancied
+ Virtual neighborood
+ Upgradable and evolutive
+ Alt shared
+ Workshop even for individuals (they already have made some changes about how workshop craft are handled)
One per server would be nice but I can deal with one by world (if it can be as huge as to build a castel as Titania's one :3)

I imagine they could create a FC ward system that is evolutive and allow FCs member to have some kind of neighborood.

PS : I'm not blaming, it is just teasing a little ^_^

That just sounds very strange to me. On our server at best time you get 2 small plots in Goblet at the same time, but that is very rare. Our wards are completely sold since months, only a small goblet plot opens from time to time and than again nothing for days or weeks usually. If there opens a small plot somewhere else or even a medium or large (witch is extremly rare) they are sold within minutes as soon someone sees them through relocation.

But what you described fits a bit what i have seen, there seems to be a prefered or fixed time window where the plots get unlocked. If it would have been relocation that would have mean that somewhere else a spot got free. If all wards where full after that time, its most likely that they where bought by chars that didnt had a plot before.

Oh and btw. its SE and old burned out Yoshi we are talking about. I don't expect anything anymore, most of the time just releasing half assed stuff and bandaid fixes. To me it feels more that FFIVX is nothing more than a big sandbox to them where they try a few new things and abondem them on the half way and leaving this unfinished or meaningless shit ingame. There a lot of examples, housing is just one of them. What about the Squadron, Bluemage, NPC helper System, Chocobo Race and all other content that didnt recieved new update for years, Grant Company Ranks, The Armory (its just there and most times useless today, even some Stuff from mogstation cant be saved there anymore) and Glamour System (it works for the most part, but if you like to collect and save a lot of different stuff and sets you reach the limit quite quickly)?

Sure this game is nice but it need some fresh air and new ideas, maybe some new approaches and Yoshi. P is definitly the wrong guy for that.

But the timing is weird, so many in such short time... idk what was up, maybe there was a bunch of ppl not being subbed for some time, idk... is the auto demolishing even active atm?

No, they halted it due to the pandemic. No mention of when it will resume at this point.

So it IS even weirder that so many ppl gave up the plot at one eve, or relocated... Maybe random some fc's disbanding and former member taking the plots, but... 8-9? Ik for sure as i checked 3x to tell my friend and the others waiting there. 6 plots with some of them having 2 free houses.

Been playing since release took 7 years to finally get a house lol. Your best bet is to log in as soon as Maintenance is over or during a lull in content so you have less competition.

Yes to all of this! This whole thing about wanting wards to feel like neighborhoods is trying too hard to create something that players don't want. And this is coming from someone that had a medium house and gave it up willingly because I just stopped caring (and also went abroad for a year so I just let it expire). I could've sworn I read somewhere, maybe in one of the PLLs about apartments getting an upgrade one day.. at the very least, something like an instanced courtyard or greenhouse where we could grow crops or have outdoor decorations.

It would be awesome to do housing similar to what ESO does.. where every race has a themed place or look (although they're not limited to that). What I've always wondered is... since we can now travel to other worlds as easily as going to the aetherite, why not have separate housing servers that could accommodate things like this?
