Weapons theme ideas

+1 to the silly items as weapons.


I forget what game did this(guild wars?) but I really like the food based weapons (I think you could duel wield a set of leeks as daggers for example). There was also a lot of just common items wielded as weapons, like a bottle, Stein or rolling pin.

Also, there was an art contest where an armor submission was a lalafel wearing homemade junk armor..like cooking pot helmet, cutting board shield. Very 6 year old homemade Halloween costume.

Give me more of that!

I'd love if more of our guns looked like actual functional guns and not hunks of fantasy loops, handles, wings, and barrels that are twisted into gun-shaped Dr. Seuss creations. There's plenty of inspiration to draw from and don't get me wrong I love the more inspired designs but the lack of down-to-earth ones is jarring. Does realistic count as a theme?

More subtle glows
Rough, dark iron metal looks
Clear crystal
White metal
Ethereal/kinda see through weapons (not sure how easy that'd be but one of my favorite chanter weapons in Aion was a ghost staff)
I do like the holiday theme weapons idea too
Also more wooden practice weapons
Mmmaybe invisible weapons for more classes? Could just be weird though lol, not sure if that'd work
Would definitely love a folding fan for dancer
Liquid element - more things like the potd and hoh weps but in different colors, pure water/earth/air/fire

Like, I know this was a troll thread disparaging the new whm cane, but personally I love its design and wish we'd get more simpler, less flashy, more practical, but still well designed weapons like that very thematically appropriate whitemage cane.

I know we've gotten a few that fit that description already, BUT I WANT MORE +_+
