Weapons theme ideas

We all know artists and designers who create weapons eventually run out of ideas. This is true of all artists and writers. So let's give them some weapon theme ideas.

Personally I would love if they would make a set of weapons for every job based on this work of art

I am a sucker for weapons that have inscriptions on the blade.

Gold Saucer needs another round of comical weapons. Last time it was all Cactaur theme, but how about just making it comical in general with no specific theme?

Squeaky hammer for Warriors.
Yaoi magazine for the Arcanist branches.
A mop for dragoons. They seem to have an affinity for the floor so at the very least they could clean up when they are done.

I remember talking about a bunch of semi-creppy halloween-themed weapons with a friend once... I dont recall all the details (its been over 6 years now), but I do remember that we wanted the bow to look a bit like a spider and be one of the "unfolding" kind...

So, in general I wouldnt mind to get a bunch of weapons from seasonal events as rewards - creepy ones for halloween, sugarcane-themed stuff for christsmas, maybe heart-particle effects for Valentines day?

Next to classics like carrot-blades and back-scratchers, I want my tuna-claymore---better yesterday than tomorrow!

It takes just a high crafting-skill and one tuna, and ta-daah, you can have your very own Dekash~ (Pia will approve that.)



(For clarification, the Dekash can actually do some decent damage. Especially when tuned.)

Hammers for warriors
Fans/throwing daggers for dancer
Gunclub for gnb since they don't seem to be undoing the sword sound changes. (no need to revert the explosion ones though)
Whip sword and kite shields for pld. maybe some shields sideways like the dark souls black knights
bullpup firearms for mch
Straight sword type blades for samurai, those ones that are western based. I can't find my lore book for the name D:
Gears/clock and sciencey atomic shaped globes for Astrologian to go with the time theme. Oh wait they destroyed that...
As daft as it sounds, some smaller greatswords with the blunted hand part on the blade for the right hand. Show off some martial skill
Metallic canes for Whm
Some focus type things for blm, let us cast firaja x5 from our fingers not our staffs!
Actual daggers for ninja, not these awkward machetes and swords
Crystal ball type flip outs for our book users

Though i support that yaoi joke item. A signed copy of the lusty Au ra maid anybody? :P

Why stop there? we can make a whole theme of cleaning tools/supplies. feather dusters for NIN, a serving spatula/plate for PLD, etc.

I want the Republican and Late Allagan weapons to be added to match the gear sets.

We don't have enough Lv1 weapon glamours, and the ones we have are rather unevenly distributed.

Serious Weapon designs:

• Would like to see more inscribed weapons, though I think the resistance weapons cover this,more would be appreciated
• Would also like more generally Art-Deco inspired weapons, something from Aumarot mayhaps?
• More crystalline weapons a la the l'Cie Bardhice would also be appreciated. Speakingow which I also want a pair of shields from Lightning Returns (the ones with Rainbow Crystals) and maybe weapons designed around those
• As would more cosmic-themed weapons.

Silly weapon designs:

• How about some seasonal weapons, like Rabbit themed weapons for Haching-tide?
• Could also go the Chocobo route with weapons

In between:

• Want to see weapons that cycle through the entire Light spectrum (may not be dyable unless it was a glow effect but even so it would be awesome to have!)
