    Would Conjurer split into WHM or GMN like ARC splits into SCH and SMN? SE has said they won't do that again.

    If not, how do you see the GMN questline fitting into how Conjury and White Magic have been portrayed so far in terms of explaining the differences? I'm not saying it can't be done, especially if the job starts at 60 or 70. If a visitor from the Far East who practices Geomancy had heard about the Elementals in the Black Shroud, that would explain why someone was there offering a new way to use elemental magic. Perhaps the typical way of calming an Elemental isn't working for the Padjals for some reason, which may even be due to the Geomancer's presence.

    As for the mechanics, it sounds like you are suggesting either a pet class similar to Scholar or at least a basic summons or stance that would alter a spell. So a simple single elemental spell, let's call it Elemental Strike just to give it a name, would become Water Strike, Earth Strike, etc. depending on which elemental aspect is active at that time. And possible for utility and healing spells as well? Like Soothing Water, Soothing Earth, and so on? Using a musical instrument like a flute, or perhaps given other FF games, even a bell for the weapon slot.

    If this doesn't fit the general idea you have in mind let me know, but that's how I would envision fleshing out the kind of starter questline and job design you seem to be suggesting.
