Ishgard housing, "different" ? Housing fixed?

I think the area we have now, with the Ishgard Restoration trade NPCs and the villagers, will stay as it is and doesn't count towards the player wards. It has the same layout for the houses, but kind of is another division. So the NPCs probably won't be evicted from their houses. We will probably get our own wards without the traders and villagers.

This is a very interesting idea, if this happen I won't mind to move there if we have the system as the apartments and the house will never demolish.
But also this will guide a new abuse system because an instanced housing on ishgard will be unlimited then getting a house will be very easy and I think the relocation system will still working for all areas then people will get a house on ishgard and then do relocation on a different area and the timer will get obsolete or mayebe the timer will get removed... but well in order to do this people need to have a lot of gil xD

Also if would be really great if we have an instanced island for housing porpuses where you decide where to put your house and decide the size and all kind of that stuff but I think this is not going to happen never as this seems to be a lot of work.

I thought housing issues would have been resolved like 2-4 years ago honestly.
Instanced Housing > Neighborhood Idea by a mile thou. Most people don't visit other peoples houses on the daily/weekly. And if they do, your the minority easily.
Giving housing to all would:
Devalue the housing black-market (Housing fuels RMT) Change my mind.
Allow everyone to have a guild-house/personal house.
Create a massive gil-sink which supports the economy and stops inflation.

As far as I know, being a part of that community for a long time, RMT is strictly forbidden on all the most popular Housing Markets on reddit and Discord. You can't sell a house for real money nor can you buy anything for real money. Gil trades only and it is sorta a massive gil sink since house sellers often charge you x2-x3 placard price for the most desireable plots. Though yeah, I do agree that having an "official" gil sink is preferable.

True -- I've had a house for years and I don't think anyone other than myself has set foot in it. And other than my FC house (that I do visit quite often), I haven't visited anyone else's house unless it was for an event (like making a themed layout for a seasonal event).

That said, my house is on the beach in Mist with the retainer bell and marketboard right out front. As a result, I have run into randoms on occasion and have enjoyed the casual interaction. But that really didn't have anything to do with my house - it was just because we were both near a public facility.

If Ishgard is ever going to provide housing ward as in rumor, it will not be under warding system.
It will be similar to WoW Garrison's phasing technology where you have minimum ability to adjust the garden such as garden plot, chocobo stable, and mail box physical locaiton
Once you enter the interior of Ishgard house, it will be an instance as same as apartment.

Only the phasing technology is able to provide enough supply to the growing FF14 population without too demanding on physical servers

They've already confirmed Ishgard housing for 6.1. It's just more wards.

I live in a medium in the beds and have a FC in the Goblet. I almost never see any neighbors even though I like to hang out in my front yard. In Wildstar, which was the best housing I ever encountered and one which all MMOs should emulate, we were situated on islands in the sky where we could see some neighbors at a distance but had to use a board I think it was, to actually visit them within their individual instance. I loved it because we were able to sharing crafting and gathering nodes directly on property with allowed friends. It was great!. I ran Wildstar betas and would still just be playing that if it was up and running and their raids were not so difficult. Quests were fun but raiding was more for the elites and I am not in that class lol. Unfortunately I think that is what ultimately killed WS, you have to make content for every type of gamer to keep them playing.
