So will this work for Intel CPU's Disabling Hyperthreading? Has anyone else tried it on their system?TL;DR:
At least i found a solution for myself.
I have to Disable SMT (in BIOS) or the game will Crash every 3-30minutes.
Longer Version
My System:
ASUS Prime X470-Pro | Ryzen 5 3600 | 32GB Crucial Ballistix Sport LT | EVGA Nvidia 1080 SC | X-STAR DP2710 | Samsung 970 EVO 500GB M2 | Windows 10 Pro
Starting with 5.0 the Game Crashed from time to time, took a break and Came Back Around 5.2 and the Crashing got worse.
With the Release of 5.3 it became unbearable and the game Crashed anywhere between 3 and 30 Minutes.
What i tried:
Clean Install of Windows 10 and even tried the Insider Build, no luck.
Almost 10 Different Nvidia Drivers even some from 2018, no luck
Downclocking the CPU/GPU/Ram, no luck
Unplugging everything non essential, no luck
Disable Defender Real Time Protection and exclude the FF14 from the Scan, no luck
Changing Install Location of FF14 (3 Differrent SSDs), no luck
Deleting the FF14 Folder unter my Documents, no luck
ReDownloading the Client multiple times, no luck
Today i disabled SMT (equivalent would be HyperThreading on Intel) and the Crashing just stopped.
Played for a couple of Hours without a hitch, so i decided to Validate it and ReEnabled SMT, within minutes the Game Crashed again and again and again.
So i disabled SMT again and played 2 Hours without a crash.
btw FF14 is the Only Game that Crashes, every other Game, Rendering Software, Coding IDE, Video Encoder and so on works without a any problems on my System.
I hope someone will give it a try and disables SMT (or HT on Intel) so we can finally figure out the cause of the constant crashing
