    I mean, we literally have an aesthetician in the game, I'm pretty sure hair dye exists in Eorzea so 'realism' was already thrown out the window.
    That said, if altering/adding colors in the CC is not much different than adding stuff like the WoD stubble *cough* or Highlander eyebrows *cough*, which we already know the devs had issues with, I'd put this in a "it's not impossible, but don't get your hopes up" category /shrug

    DCUO has 24bit RBG color selectors for everything. You can enter hex values to get the exact color you want. Probably the hard part is in changing one system for another.

    Reasons they might not want do it is fear that people would do things too far outside their design aesthetic; Or maybe that such an interface would be confusing or too technical for some players.

    Personally I'd be for it, for anything but skin. (which wasn't part of the original suggestion anyway) The designers obviously have specific ideas of what they consider natural for the various races they created. I wouldn't mind more options though.
