    It's a computer model giving the illusion of a real place. The rest of the world does not actually exist for you to go and explore.

    They can't remove the invisible walls or you're going to go sailing off into nothingness.

    You can't even go see what's on the other side of that solid-looking mountain blocking your way because you'll quickly find it's paper-thin and hollow.

    I think they mean invisible walls within the playable space, there are areas in ARR where it looks like you can move between them but there is an invisible wall. I would wait to have this discussion after 5.3 OP, who knows what they will change

    There was a point the water in Limsa was rendered as a flat floor, but I'm not sure if that still applies since the glitch that made you fall through the bridges was patched.

    Personally I do wonder how much of this is going to be patched out in the ARR world, minus the cities, once flying becomes a thing.
