Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it how they were implementing the gear in the each cycle? Thats the same of amount of the gear they put into the game per each expansion, patch and year. Including the raids.
We will get different looking crafted gear set, tome set and raid set but nothing extra. As for the shire gear. Isn't it possible to dye it after you do the augmentation on it? It was available long before shadowbringers I think so I wouldn't count it in.
So for my point is that we get the same stuff with no matter how successful the game is. Especially that we were promised another potd but it never came out. Hopefully they will put it to the game right? I think potd is fun and another version of it wouldn't be a bad idea.

Its not only about the mounts. Its about gear, emotes, weapons, music, furniture, minions, accessories and possibly more.

ask yourself, do you already get enough content to justify your payment of 12.99$ a month for this game. Every 3 month you get an assortment of gear, cosmetic, dungeons, story, bosses, and events and at rare points we get a new job class (BLM & Ninja). To get mad over something that is extra is kind of absurd. The price for video games are going up 70$ a title and we are throwing a fit over optional cosmetics. Could it be cheaper? Yes, but capitalisms is going to capitalisms.

It's a little weird how big the Mogstation is getting. It's almost ESO shop size but without lootboxes and ESO at the very least has the "excuse" of being buy to play with an optional sub.

-The only time they ever mentioned the idea was when Yoshi-P said "only if 80-90% wanted it." That being said, his opinion is now firmly "absolutely never." https://www.mmobomb.com/news/naoki-y...bsolutely-not/ F2P was never a serious option.

-There is a free 4-seater mount in-game that simply requires beating E4s to earn. No one is being pressured to buy the one on mogstation due to exclusivity; if they desire to not pay the $36, they have a completely free alternative to strive for that requires them to put in the work & hours to learn the mechanics on an outdated, 20%-echo enhanced, outgeared savage fight. The $36 is basically a convenience fee to get a 4-seater with no work.

-This heavily depends on how you define 'less content' in this instance. -1 dungeon is basically nothing considering they all play out the same anyway and are the least-effort content possible. The only real less content we've had less of is the -1 Deep dungeon. In its place we've had a huge surge of gatherer & crafter content. Whether you're personally are interested in it or not is irrelevant, but the overall content is basically the same as in SB, just less battle-content focused. We still get the same amount of Normal mode/Savages/Extremes/Ultimates/24mans/Beast-tribes/MSQ/etc as from SB.

-As Iscah pointed out, each patch we're getting full armor sets, mounts, glamour gear, emotes, etc, all for free. The amount of stuff they add in-game severely dwarfs the amount they put in the mogstation; only the mogstation skews your perceptional bias due to the fact it has a $ tag associated with it, making it more memorable when recalling things.

-You realize how ridiculously expensive game development has become these days correct especially since the sub fees & expansion prices haven't gone up with inflation right? The box price of the expansion is basically to cover the developmental costs of the expansion + some profit. The sub fees are criminally low in 2020 especially when you account for Inflation since 2013, they're most likely covering the maintenance + hardware to run the servers & pay the developers on a monthly basis than making any crazy profit. If Square nixed the mogstation, I would 100% guarantee everyone's sub price would go up by $5-10 to account for the missing profit from it. But Square understands that a low sub price is a great idea, so rather than force everyone to pay a much higher sub price to maintain the same profit margins, they have a low sub price and have a separate team make mounts/outfits as a slow pace on the side for the express purpose to sell to offset the gap instead.

-In the time since they implemented the Oktoberfest & Mheg robe glamours, they have implemented: Neo-Ishgardian(x6 to account for all the Fending, Striking, etc sets), Moonfire event outfits, Edenchoir(x6), Crystarium(x6), Shadowless(x6), NIER(x6), Aesthetes(x2 for crafter & gatherer), Dalmascan crafted set, Southern Seas glamour set.

So 2 mogstation outfits vs 35 sets in-game, or 95% of gear sets in the past two patches have been in-game This is also even before the new relic weapons come out and potential glamour tied to Bhulzja arrives.

If we want to use your own point that re-colors don't count: The crafted sets for 4.0 & 4.2 were re-skins of existing gear (WOD & Void-ark/Weeping city/Dun Scaith respectively), compared to 5.0 being re-skin with 5.2 being completely unique: meaning we've actually gotten more unique gear this expansion than SB during the natural patch progression, following your argument. If they were really doing less unique armor in-game more stuff would be re-skinned, not less. Even if you want to axe literally everything for the sake of argument, they've implemented at least 1 set of lvl1 glamour in-game for every mogstation-designed set they've implemented.

Its 12.99 for you perhaps. Its 22.99 for me with all with my all retainers for extra storage and selling listings and extra farm from gathering classes. So I wouldnt generalize that everyone pays the same sub.

Besides no one is mad. We are just voicing our opinions of disapproval on how cashop is going.
Also why are you so defensive about all of this? You would benefit in more content and heaving to spend less money for the in game stuff you like. I just want to know your opinion on why do you think we are throwing a fit or getting mad.
And to answer your question. If i look at the overall spending on mogstation and the sub and etc. I dont think its equivalent for the content we are getting but I ll accept for whatver out come its going to be. As I stated before I like the game and I want to support it.

    Maybe?
But it's a shop that's been growing over 10+ years, and that never has items removed from its store front.
From just old seasonal items alone rotating into the shop I'd be surprised if it wasn't getting to be pretty big.

Probably because it's the only thing in the cash shop that vaguely resembles 'buy to win', because it's the only thing that isn't purely cosmetic, or a partial level boost.

Im not sure what answer you were expecting. We regularly get a good number of scheduled glamours released into the game. In the same timeframe, one or two scheduled glamours are released to the cash shop. Are you expecting some kind of special glamour that is worthy of being compared to the cash shop items?

And I haven't closely looked at the Shire vs Anamnesis sets, but from memory the buckles and decorations are a different colour of metal and the dye pattern may be different. Those small details are valuable for glamour - matching undyeable metals can be difficult. In any case they're more of a bonus and it's not terrible that they're recycled models when we were getting three other full original sets in the same patch. I'd rather the recycled designs went in the dungeon and the nice original ones be easier to craft/purchase on demand, anyway - getting specific pieces from endgame dungeons is a pain.

That's not correct. The only 2 seater wich is obtainable purely in game is Astrope, the mount you get for completing 2000 mentor roulettes.

The wedding Chocobo requires to buy the gold wedding in mog station and the yellow and red 2 seater Chocobos have no direct cost tied to them, but they both come from the recruit a friend campaign, so the game and / or sub time has to be payed at some point to get them.
And the Whale and Moogle of course are cash shop exclusive.
