    Ishgard Restoration achievements question

This is something I couldn't find any info about anywhere, so I might as well ask.
Will the "The Height of X" achivements for turning in 100 Expert items still be attainable after 5.3 hits? Or will they be gone forever?
I don't want to stress myself out trying to get them all if I can just do it later and take a slower pace.
    Does anyone know?

The description of those specific achievements state "for the second phase of the Ishgardian restoration." The title reward also refers to the current area that's being worked on.

It's very likely, but not confirmed, that these achievements will no longer be obtainable in the next phase of the restoration. With a new set of achievements being added, along with new title rewards.

I would say it's the other way around. It's very likely they will always be obtainable. If these were limited-time only, it would be made much more clear, like with other content that is intended to be limited-time from the beginning. There are far too many of these achievements for SE to expect people to get them all before the next phase reasonably, and there is no reason to believe you won't be able to still get them during the next phase. Now, the actual turn-ins will likely give barely any skybuilder points or scrips, much like how they reduced the rewards on the original turn-ins, but you will most likely still be able to acquire and turn-in the mats/crafts for the achievement, much like how you can still craft and turn-in first-phase items. Not sure how they will handle the gathering mats, but I assume they will either add new nodes, or add more items to existing nodes or something along those lines. If they replace the old mats I assume they will somehow keep the artisanal mats intact, since those are what are required to craft the achievement crafts. It is also perfectly reasonable to expect the achievement and its description might simply be updated come 5.3 to also include phase three items.

Basically I find it highly unlikely they would add a giant pile of time-consuming content, achievements and rewards then immediately remove the content and make them unobtainable the very next patch. That just sounds completely ridiculous to me. They removed the first-phase gathered items, but then again, there was literally nothing tied to the first phase content at all. No achievements, no log completion, no nothing, so nothing was lost by their removal except the occasionally amusing item descriptions (seriously, ishgard restoration items often have hilarious item descriptions, if you don't normally read flavor text, you should check them out lol).

Either way, this is definitely one of those things they should make perfectly clear ahead of time since the uncertainty of it just stresses the hell out of people and makes them play the game in unpleasant and unhealthy ways out of fear for no good reason. They did this with the previous diadem and I honestly will never forgive them for the way they handled that. It was completely unacceptable and they should be ashamed of themselves.

One more addendum: If you are really worried about these achievements going away, what I would do is work on the gathering ones and do them, and make sure you gather enough mats along the way to do the crafting achievements later (you will absolutely have enough mats to do all 8 crafting classes by the time you get the gathering achievements). While there is a chance they will remove the gathered mats like last time, I guarantee the crafted recipes and turn-ins will still be there, just like the first-phase crafts are still there today. As long as you have the mats, you can still craft the turn-ins for the achievements and turn them in at your leisure. They won't be worth a damn, but they will still count towards the achievement.

The other achievements related to cumulative Skyward Points don't specify any phase so those should be available to work on throughout the entire Restoration.

It's not that time consuming to craft 100 Expert items. I can do it in less than 4 hours now I'm used to crafting Expert. I've already got 3 of the achievements completed just by using up what I've gathered in Diadem so have room to store the next bunch I gather. It's another way for SE to get players to continue contributing to the Restoration past the initial ranking period.

The achievements don't say "during" though. They simply say turn-in the mats/crafts for that phase. Also yeah the crafting ones aren't too crazy taken singly, but all 8 of them are still pretty intensive for something that would only be around for a few months, especially if you weren't already all 80's beforehand, and the gathering ones are MUCH more time-consuming.

The wording and future structure of season 3 is far too vague to know for certain. Personally I'd just assume the achievements will be gone in 5.3, rather than end up being disappointed at missing out.

While the achievements don't specifically state "during", it's possible that they're specifically tied to the Grade 2 Artisanal Skybuilders' recipes. It's possible that the third phase will introduce the next grade of the skybuilders' recipes, with Grade 3 becoming the turn ins for that phase. Along with this, the materials gathered in the Diadem would likely be changed to Grade 3, meaning the Grade 2 versions will no longer be obtainable. This is similar to how the materials for the first phase were no longer obtainable at the start of the second phase.

Of course, it's also possible that this won't happen, since the transition from the first to the second phase had SE moving everything to the Diadem, which won't be the case for the second to third phase transition.

The wording does make it seem limited to 2nd phase.

SE doesn't seem to mind vaporizing achievement without prior warning (old diadem), so given that they've explicitly marked these green ones with "for the second phase of the Ishgardian restoration" it seems about enough warning as 1 can expect.

I did all the green crafting ones during the 1wk rank period, so I think it quite attainable spread out over a few month.
on Aether at least, the expert mats are quite cheap since few ppl are chasing the pterodactyl, so it also feels np to outright buy them still, saving time.
