All people do is bitch off BelgianRofl as being a troll but out of most of the people here who try to justify a point, he makes some of the best points out of everyone. People need to be more objective and get a better sense of humour.

That's what happens when you start trolling. Any valid point/legitimate concern a person has after that is automatically overlooked and/or people lessen its value. He made his own bed.
Speak for yourself. I judge points on their own merits, not on the people who make them...

The Lalafel in the opening movie does the same move, only thing that could explain this. would be a short term barrier (not in game atm from looks of what we have). Could very well be unimplemented ideas the game may or may not offer later on, kind of like the enhancement for the Flaming arrow (also from the opening movie).
May just be spells/abilities we can look forward to seeing, or just enhanced visuals. There are few more things that stand out then just those two effects though.

If you have done the final story quest, you will see that those NPC's have classes that we do not yet have access to. One of them was a ninja

This^^
Actually, that Miqo'te is a Arcanist. Also, according to the data miners, arcanists use mechanics attached to their staves to manipulate or protect their surroundings. Force fields, deflection, ect. That Miqo'te is involved in the archanist's guild in the main story line quests pretty early on in the game.

Those were throwing daggers, which is a gladiator weapon. The weapon by his side is a dagger, which is a gladiator weapon.
Now, one might argue the weapons by their sides don't denote what they are since they're NPCs, but that wouldn't make sense. Why? There's already tons of arcanist/musketeer NPCs with their weapons, so why not give the quest NPCs the proper weapons?

Which brings us back to the main point. Whether that NPC was or was not a ninja (marginal), there are NPCs in the game that belong to classes that at the moment aren't available to the player. For what we know they could even belong to a class available to the player, but be higher than the current level cap.
Or even more probably that ability has just be added for scenic effect, which is the whole point behind a cutscene. Showing something that can't be shown during normal gameplay.
I would say that there's nothing wrong with it.
