Launcher Problems

Hiya all, posting here cos even though I'm on a JP Server, I don't speak a lick of the language.

I recently reinstalled the game due to some technical difficulties I've had (Launcher was staying on the grey logo screen, not giving me the login options.)

After deciding to reinstall the client / game in whole, and stupidly closing my ticket myself, I've run into a problem where the download will get to a set point, and throw me an error, saying Unable to download patch files. [30413] [25008] [20495] [20495]

I've tried a couple of fixes, like changing my Games folder to unset read-only, as well as the general troubleshooting of re/setting Internet Explorer Options, both to no avail.

I'm hoping this is something that is fairly easy to fix, as I am having cravings, and haven't played in like 3 days cos of the problems.

Please try the following troubleshooting steps:

- The game will use the Internet Explorer web browser to connect to the internet. Open Internet Explorer, then open the "Tools" setting, go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
- Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
- Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
- Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
- Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
- Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
- Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
- Please RESTART your PC now. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"

-Make sure your fire wall or antivirus program is not interfering with the game

- Check to see if the following port ranges are opened on your router. You can contact your ISP and request they open them for you:

55006 through 55007,
55021 through 55040

-Try disabling background applications and do a clean boot by opening the task manager and selecting the “Start up” tab. Disable everything and then restart the PC.

Unfortunately, even after following these troubleshooting steps, I'm still getting the same problem, with the same error codes, but now it's happens even earlier in the download (~470mb whereas previously it would stop at ~1336mb)

Are you connected to the router directly, or are you using WiFi?

Good morning all

After some discussion with my FC members, who agreed it sounded like a problem with my ISP, I tried using a VPN to download the game and it worked!

As such, I no longer need assistance in this matter.
