Viera & Hrothgar need access to more helmets/Hats

As the title says- I want to keep this in SE's face- it can be done. It shouldn't be called a "technical issue"

Maybe eventually, Hrothgar & Viera will have access to more headpieces in the future, or SE will see noone seems to be asking, so like many things- will be swept under the rug & forgotten about, just like players asking for less NPC exclusive hairstyles.

One fine example: Matoya's Hat. It's a bonus item given for purchasing the Encyclopedia Eorzea-- Something that can be obtained only by money needs to be designed for all races in mind. Yes, it's optional, but that's no excuse as to why it's limited to other races.


If Au'Ra can somehow still wear helmets through their horns- Hrothgar & Viera can wear more hats & Helmets- Not every large hat has to have Viera ears sticking out of it- but I can see most working just like how hoods work on Viera- Most headpieces & hats should be visible, if not all.
On an RP standpoint- I can see Hrothgar melding holes in their helmets so their horns can come through-
Viera & Hrothgar can have more hats & helmets designed to wear & actually be seen.

Agree with me or not, my point stands- Hrothgar & Viera need to have more hats & helmets visible.

Would it be nice? Absolutely.
Needs to be? No.

They made it pretty clear what those of us who chose to play these races were getting into before they came out.
No hats, limited hair.

Well, we'll add some more and do some more hair/faces for them, at some point in the future, we'll let you know when we've more to say, please look forward to it.

I made my choice when I was told I'd never get any, so if I get any at all I simply consider it a welcome bonus but I in no way need them and will happily live without them for getting to play a race I enjoy.

Wasn't this already addressed by Yoshi and team?
Since they already addressed it, they can be held to the fact they said they were working on it. They never specified WHEN they'd have anything, but they said they were gonna do something about it.
They dont need constant reminders about it, and I doubt they will try to sweep it under the rug as if nobody wants it/cares about it because its not being talked about as a hot button issue.
You also need to consider with the Hrothgar, many of those head pieces would need to possibly be redesigned, because they arn't being placed on a standard Humanoid head with the Hrothgar.

No they don't need it. It would be nice but in these hard times with the coronavirus about, people dying to give Hrothgar a hat would be horrible. So no, they don't *need* more access.

It's honestly not high in my [or probably anyone's, for that matter] priority list, I'm grateful we can wear some head pieces at all, but I'd rather they fine tune some of the ones we can already wear, like this beauty here

Totally agree. I'm not as bitter about it as I was but the limits on the new races are still one of the most disappointing parts of this expansion.

But somehow any semblance of Viera ear clipping through helmets/hats is a sin in FFXIV.
Not to say anything about the tail clipping through on all coats on Au ra.

Come on Square enix, let female Viera wear hats/helments, let everything clip through just like Au ra.

PS. Don't treat Viera/Hrothgar as the same race. If female Viera get helments/hats that's because they're a humanoid race, you devs warned the players that if they added beastial races they would be limited because of how hard it is to model things for them. Just add new hair to Hrothgar, that's as far as you can push a beastial race.

Who is anyone to say what the game needs or not, that was their opinion. It's up to Square Enix to agree or not.
The corona excuse doesn't fly with me, I'm still paying the same price to access the game; I'm a stakeholder.

Personally I care a lot more about hairstyles than hats. I also think that any new release should always be Viera and Horthgar enabled or at the least have a separate item made for them that works. Relative to the remodeling of old hats I think it would be nice but honestly I don't think it will happen.

I agree more on the updated hairs than hats, both races (Hrothgar more of course) have so limited choises on what style of hair the want it's unfair. So while hats would be amazing to get, I would prefer more hairstyles over them, even the just added hair can't be used on them.. :/
