SMN UI setups?

It'll be best to figure out what makes the most sense to you, spend a couple weeks tinkering then a couple more weeks building muscle memory so you don't have to look at them so much anymore.

I do things a little weird:

Movement: ESDF - Allows easier access to more keys without modifiers, makes reaching modifier keys more difficult.

Modifiers: 2 extra buttons on the side of my mouse with scripts running that make them act like shift and control.

Cooldowns and other abilities I don't use too often like Egi summons I use with modifiers.

If you move with your pinky, ring, and middle fingers it's best to have instant abilities where your index finger or thumb can use them and abilities you chain together are better when close together. Common sense stuff but it can be difficult getting everything to fit nicely so it just comes down to what you think is ok and then taking time to get used to it.

As for the UI I have buffs right below my character, job gauge to the left of those, debuffs to the right, and abilities below. I like having all of my abilities visible with cooldowns on top so they're easier to glance at, less important stuff on the bottom, and situational stuff more to the side. For the most part. I had to make some compromises to make everything fit while trying to maintain what I'm used to from other games.

My setup honestly is a mess (I guess because I'm a mess) but it works for me and at the end of the day that's what matters.



F5 is a macro that switches my main bar to DoL and DoH jobs, I need it on the main bar so I can switch back and forth with the same key. RTY456 are by far my most used keys. I'm sure it could be better, I'm not even using W or 1. Oh well.
