84 housing districts and zero houses available. Either confirm Ishegard housing is coming or make more housing districts!
Do you really need to be prompted for this? There's not enough houses to go around.

Sadly that's sort of how the system is right now - housing is meant to be a limited commodity. Until they make it something that's meant to be 'for everyone', there will always be a shortage.
Not saying it's great, just that it's the way the system is. And it's frustrating because--esp on Zal, as I am from there too--you can walk through 2 districts and more than half the houses you look at that are open to public are empty. With auto-demo off, they remain so.
I have to agree, more wards are needed. Or at least wards need to be dynamic. On European servers there are several empty plots, so many that likely only 15 wards per zone are needed, on busier servers they should be automatically added as needed. I appreciate the fact that housing is a luxury, however to only have 21 wards on servers like Balmung or Mateus when the population requires more like 50 wards is just plain silly. Given the fact that many more people are now spending time in game due to the pandemic, and auto-destruct is disabled more wards are needed like yesterday!
Also if houses are only meant to be for the lucky few... why does EVERY SINGLE EVENT give us more house/garden items?

Because new seasonal event furnishings are a common request from players who like to change decor to match the season.
Indoor items can still be used in Apartments and FC PriVate Chambers so that isn't an issue. A player may not own a house today but they could in the future so they get the opportunity to pick up the occasional outdoor item for future use if they want.
While I'm all up for more wards, I would notice that they just added 3 fresh ones in every zone, so there's almost a 0 chance that they will add more so soon.
And they most likely won't announce Ishgard as a housing (if it really is one even) until fanfests.
Ishgard do coming tho, been in new Firmament? New streets are getting created before your very eyes!
They heavily implied at NA FanFest that it would be player housing once the Restoration was completed. It's clearly laid out as a housing district - you can see the outlines of the house plots with the offset rectangles that mirror the design of existing housing districts. The first quest that unlocks once the 5.21 stages are complete is titled "A Hone in the Firmament".
SE is not the type of company that would be mocking and teasing a house-hungry player base with all these things then not delivering. There will be an Ishgard housing district coming later this expansion.
Yes but the Ishgard restoration is something that seems to be going on all of this expansion.
If there is housing at the end of this, it won't be until 6.0 which based on current patch dates/schedule will be early July 2021 (and it'll be a feature of the new expansion, they're not going to release it in 5.5 when they could hold it back as a feature of 6.0).
But although Shirogane was released in 4.0, you couldn't buy a house until 4.1 so if this is similar, 6.1 would be early November 2021.
So basically, it's probably gonna be a bit of a wait.
Yeah, 6.0 or 6.1 was my prediction as well. They will wait also because Firmament exclusive stuff should probably end and they want as many people as possible to try it.
Not that I am very mad about Ishgard tho, from the look of things its going to be Goblet 2.0 but in snowy setting.
Just wait for Isghard housing or jump to Twintania where they still have medium and large plots for grabs. If not then whats the point of making these whiny topics when you do have options.
