Chose wrong character when registering on PS4 (I think)

I don't currently have access to a PC capable of playing the game so I downloaded the starter edition on PS4 and I think during the setup I chose my old character, since that's all that's available on the character select screen (I have a standard edition account so only one character at a time). Is there any way to change this besides calling support?

Do you mean you had a separate service account for the old character or is it old character on same account just different server, because you can change the server listing to get to a character that is on a different server. To do that, on the character select screen, above the character list should be a button labled World. If you click that it will bring up a list of the worlds on that Data Center. It will also tell you the number of characters you have on the world next to the world name so you can tell if you have a character on a different world.
