Lets do just one crafting beast tribe per expansion and nothing more, but instead adding new type of harder 4 man content into the game, or maybe even actual raids for 8 people, not just 4 bosses.
That sounds fair.
I enjoyed the Hildebrand quests, even in HW and Stormblood. I can see why they're probably finding they have to force new ideas and feel it's getting stale, but they did a good job with it. Humor is something ff14 tends to lack, generally amounting to little half-hearted puns, digs at Alphinaud or Thancred, or word-play on items or achievements. Some are fairly good to be fair, but overall the game has a much more serious tone compared to something like WoW where the Devs love to poke fun at their players and themselves constantly and you can relate to the jokes as a gamer.
I mean I like ff14, it's why I'm here and not playing WoW, but it's like that one friend who's a nice person and can share a joke or two but just takes life a little too seriously and always wants things done the proper way.
ARR had plenty of humour that wasn't just slapstick with quite a few dirty jokes to be found as well as innuendo. For whatever reason that started to decline as of HW. There's still some of it to be found but not nearly as much.
I'd much prefer more crude pirate jokes and the like over more Hildibrand. It fits the setting better too.
He's somewhere out there!
Two Words: Hildibrand + Lopporitts
The comedy writes itself folks.
The menacing aura of every Lalafell.
I still wanted to see Hildebrand + The Fae. Boo.
I don't know, I could easily see him getting into some mischief on the moon or something given there's a telepad, and tons of different nonsense that could get him there. Gotta remember, he launched himself into Dalamud before it erupted.
The Fae were too....creepy.
Lopporitts are perfect comedy foils. Don't want to get too spoilery so:
I can imagine Hildibrand being launched into the moon somehow and being found by the Lopporitts and he attempts to solve the case of a missing carrot or something stupid. Mayhem ensues, he messes up the Artificial Habitats they are making or releases something and has to solve the problem in the way only a Manderville Man can.
The menacing aura of every Lalafell.
Well, it's not Hildibrand yet but the Christmas event has Julyan standing outside the CRP's Guild in Gridania, skillet on her hip and arms crossed, and has a speech bubble saying she's not happy with Godbert's antics during the event this year.I chuckled when I saw her and wondered if it's a prelude to a EW Hildibrand quest? (ShB was always going to be a stretch given it took place in a parallel world).
Especially if he somehow ends up inThe comedy would write itself.Elpis and they regard him as a dysfunctional familiar.![]()
