Also for people who might contract the virus and require hospitalization while their house goes up for demolition. Its for Medical personal and other people in other critical roles, Imaging working flat out for 2 weeks and haven't been on ffxiv and forgetting your house was up for demolition yeeeeeeeeeah would be annoying.
Ishgard Housing is going to be a thing most likely so more wards will open up then.
I work retail, I don't have a luxury to stay home - I make sure you people sitting at home can have something to buy from the shelves.
Watch them make Ishguard require FC Rank 20 and cost 100mil base entry.
I doubt seriously they'll change the ownership/purchase requirements for Ishgard. I hope personally they give everyone a first shot at it and stop with the FC/Transfer only purchases which can last for months. It's totally unfair to first time home owners in my opinion.
FC/transfer first was something they implemented because the community requested it. In this very forum, and at a rate that was much higher than current ward/limit complaints. So I highly doubt they'll change it.I doubt seriously they'll change the ownership/purchase requirements for Ishgard. First time personal owners now have to fight their way into the system and then they can catch a break (ish).
If you make it too accessible then the demand for housing will not be as high. The only reason I and many other people bought houses is because it's rare and many people want it. If everyone can easily buy it then people won't care as much, and it loses its appeal to many home buyers.
I dont think your assumption is right, there other mmos where everyone can have a house and ppl never complaint about that. Most ppl still want a place for themself that they can call home, even if its not so exclusiv like in this game.If you make it too accessible then the demand for housing will not be as high. Also buying it isn't the issue. A lot of people can afford the price. Availability and/or the demolition mechanic stop them.

I like housing because I like decorating, personalizing, and decorating with friends, and I like hanging out with friends and showing off what I built. If you make it too accessible then the demand for housing will not be as high. Plenty of players like me out there too, and they can't all get houses because there aren't enough of them.
Adding wards is a band aid fix for the major underlying issues of the housing system. Instanced housing would solve the problem, but some people will practically spit in your face if you suggest it.
